Well I recently got my hands on the 12 Volumes of CCS Manga and was just wondering....
Do you like the manga better than the Anime? or vice-versa? :D
Personally I can't make a decision.

The Anime Hands Down.
Because it showed the epic beauty that magic truly is truly capble of.
And it has the most heartwarming portrayl of daily life for a 10 year old in any medium I have seen to date.
So few shows go out of their way nowadays to show the activities and challenges faced every day by children, but hey, here we are at the CCS animated version. :kawaii:
Till Next Time Take Care Of Yourselves And Each Other. :kawaii:
Umm for me I like both almost equally...I guess each type has its own strong points...the original manga illustrations by CLAMP are awesome (especialy in their full page glory) but the anime has pretty kawaii artwork too. Its a tie for me I guess. lol. :kawaii:

both of them are equal...
CLAMP ( especially Okawa Nanase :kawaii: ) has done a really nice job of creating CCS on both in manga and in anime...

I personally like mangas because the artists get to draw with more detail and feeling than the get to in animes. For example, in mangas there are no "re-used footage" due to budget cuts...

you're right on that one Nokari...

Although Madhouse uses "repeat footage," they most commendably were able to use different clothings, cards and settings for each and every one of them.
Well, they did animate the masterpiece Ninja Scroll, so its only natural that they can accomplish such a feat!! :kawaii:

I thought they were on equal grounds with each other... but i have a tendency to look at most (but not all) series like that.

"HHHOOOOOEEEEE" is much more kawaii when there's a voice accompanying it. :kawaii:

Dunno. I like both. I watched the anime first then read the manga. There were a lot of things removed from from the manga in the anime. I would have appreciated more info about Clow in the anime. I wouldn't mind seeing Rika and the sensei's relationship go further(I keep forgetting his name for some reason) than what we see. Rika is much prettier in the manga.
But I really love the special effects in the anime and i like seing more clow cards as well. Some of them are really cute.

CCS is the definitive anime for Dungeon Masters of Role Playing Games (like Dungeons And Dragons ) to show his/her players. He/she can then tell them "magic users in this game can do majestic things like this." :)

Another Madhouse production that has already earned the title of a true classic within 2 years of its realease. :kawaii: Amongst others are Trigun and Outlaw Star.

We can only hope that Madhouse does another magical-comedy-drama soon!!
The waiting is the hardest part!! :kawaii:
This is *kind of* off topic, but um..
I've watched some of the anime, and I like it enough to want to see the rest. And i've read a little bit of the manga.. like that enough to want to read the rest. Can't afford both at once.. ^^ Which should I go for?

The anime. Hands Down. And get the First Soundtrack if you have surplus cash. Believe me, it is a worthwhile investment!! :)

Play it in the background of writing an essay or when you are doing an ongoing exercise like riding the bike or the boxing bag. It will give you that extra get up and go energy to keep going. :kawaii:

Well...
its hard to say.
CLAMP's manga is so beautifully detailed and there's something about the way they write that makes the manga absolutely kawaii.
On the other hand, the anime brings it to life.
Both so dear, I could lose neither.

Anything with Sakura-Chan in it (except for the Americanised version) is money well spent. :kawaii:

Well, I only have 3 vol's of the manga and all the anime, so I'm probably a bit biased.
But, I tend to like them about the same because certain things are better in each.
In the manga (my vol's at least lol) shows a better inside look to Tomoyo's feelings for Sakura. She tells her she loves her, and Sakura says she loves her to, and Tomoyo replies to herself (which in anime, we couldn't see since we can't see Tomoyo's thoughts like the manga, or not nearly as much [we do see the, but its very very rare]) "I don't love you the way you love me" (or something along those lines".
With the anime, and I find this with anime as a whole, its easier to sink into the story, sinc ethe actions happen and don't need pages turned to complete them. The voices speak, and are not the voices we sorta "make up" in our head ^.^;

Though voices really do enhance the emotional content of a narrative. Marvelous performances in the animated version include:
1) Iwao Junko's tender portrayl of Tomoy's sincere love for Sakura as she tells Kero-Chan what really was in that box that Shield Guarded. :kawaii:
2) Tange Sakura's heartbreakingly sincere weeping as Sakura-Chan finds out the terrible price of sealing the final card in Movie 2. You cannot help but to reach out, hug and comfort Sakura-Chan when you hear weeping like that. :bawling:

hmm...well for me I think I liked the mangas just slightly better. I still love the anime, but I started with the manga and it's what got me into it so when I remember CCS I usually remember the mangas before the anime series.

I'd have to go with the manga. I read the entire series and it was just beautiful. Though I do find so fault in it though. They didn't show enough of Eriol. Don't you think he's just the evilest, cutest, coolest person. :D

i don't think Eriol is evil...he's just mysterious ^_^

i haven't seen that much of Eriol...only really in the movies and a couple epps, but still....he's cool ^.^
