Are all the incarnations of Salior Moon this childish ?

The show seems to be more childish and aimed at kids.
I saw I trailer for one that didnt look that bad tho(they were waering visors of some kind).
Are there any version of this show that more mature ? I kinda like it but at times its just way too dumb (or dumbed down) for me.

If you're watching it on American television, then expect it to be childish, because it's dumbed down. The Japanese version is also aimed at a young audience but manages to be slightly more mature.

yeah, they did too much editing with the sailormoon they're showing here in america. they changed it so to appeal to younger audience.
well, it may get kinda childish but its pretty entertaining though. :B:

Yeah the american edited version of SM doesnt have a couple things, blocked out some blood, blocked out all the nudity, and some other things. (major,minor)

Absolutely EVERYTHING about sailor moon is better in the original version. If you ever get the chance, see the original, it will make you think about the show in a whole different way. The US version just plain sucks.

yeah, i agree. before i saw the US version, i've already seen the original one..... i was really disappointed when i saw the sailormoon in cartoon network coz they made a lot of changes and that made everything different.

You mean a sailor moon movie? Well, the only one I've seen so far is the R movie, "the promise of the rose." I hear all of them are pretty good, as long as you get the subtitled versions, which are available on the market now. If you get the dubbed versions, they are really heavilly edited and they are just bad. It's like watching ling episodes of the TV show, so get the subtitled ones.

invincyble, i think there are already 3 sailormoon movies out now (sailormoonR, sailormoonS, and sailormoon superS). if you want to watch the ones that has not been edited much... i suggest you get the dvd.

The other scouts have powers but Sailor moon just relies on her tools.

yeah, i guess you're right wolfpac. sailormoon doesn't really do much of the fights, its the other scouts who does it for her, she just finishes the fight with her crystal or something...
