How did this come to be???
and if she's only a quarter German why not live in the USA where she should have more family connections???

Probably cos her mother and father had to live in Germany to work on Unit 02, and so she basically had to live wid them

well, i don't think that asuka is actually any part american. she is 3/4 german and 1/4 japanese. something like, her mother was 1/2 japanese. ;)
