What does Hanagata mean?

Hi, I know that Hana is flower and gata something about plural (for ex. anatagata is you(pl) isn't it?) So, is Hanagata something like flowers, or noses?

that's why he holds a rose in his hand, and his hair has also the shape of a rose....

Hanagata actually means "star" or "famous person." He is rich, so that could explain why he's famous. ^^ But I think they tossed the flower in because of the Hana in his name, too.

After searching a dictionary someone gave me i've found the following meanings for Hanagata:
floral pattern, flourish, ornament, star actor

I decided to check over my resources (earlier I was relying on memory), and I got the exact same results that AchtungAffen got. Which raises the question: What dictionary do you use, Achtung? I wanna see if it's the same as mine. ^^

Also, I tried my book, and got the results of "star; popular person or thing." I think that sums it up. ^^

I think hanagata gives a bit of fun to a story that had to be converted from sexual humor to something kids can watch. I read almost nothing of the manga, but it made me laugh much more than the anime (it sucks sometimes). But well, the anime has good qualities too. Greetings
