While this has been pointed out by many people here in this forum, as well as countless other threads. I thought I'd just post to see what your reactions to my thoughts would be.
This is basically reference for the Manga due to the fact that we have more material to dive into. When we look at the early work of Kosuke Fujishima, and compare it to now, we see a radical differnce between the 2. But if you look at the drawing styles of EACH character and look at their evolution up to their current looks and status, we can see how much Fujishimas' style has been refined over the years. Now thats not really my point, so please keep reading. Now, not only should we look at his art, we should also take a look at the character developement. From your own knowledge, do a comparison check from when the character was first introduced, to their current personality now. When you combine both facts, it just blows you away. Overall, both artistically and character developement, who do you think has improved to something you least expected? This is not a "My Favorite Character Question". Its more of a who and why question and list your details.
If you didn't know, personally my favorite Ah Megamisama character is Belldandy, however! When I am forced to look at things from the perspective I stated above I would state Urd being the most unexpected turn about.
Her personatliy has gone from one end (rather mischevous, plotting, etc etc) to something softer that someone here could prolly state what. Why do I say something softer? I think that her personality has just become more in tune with that of her Angelic side of her Heritage I suppose. To me, at times she does seem rather like Bell chan at times. Don't get me wrong, Urd will never be Bell-chan, and she will always have that certain attitude surrounding her, but overall her personality just turned into something potently sweet. Artistically, shes still wearing the same wild, rather revealing clothes as ever... but I think its grown more tastefull IMHO. But she doesn't always wear wild clothes... a good case in point would be chapter 136 where she just wearing something rather simple... yet still states her exotic and wild attributes. That prolly sounds odd, but I think it makes sense to me.
So now its your turn.
