anime or manga?

I have just finished reading the MKR manga, finally and have made comparisons between this and the anime TV series. When I compared these two things, I would say that I prefer the manga storyline to the anime TV series. To me it just tells the story of the magic knights in a better way, than what is done in the tv series.

Anyway my question is, what did you prefer, the manga or the TV series?

TV series. While I throughly enjoyed the manga, it seemed too rushed, the TV series actually has the time to do some real character development. I did enjoy the plot twist at the end of the manga though *gasp* You created the Earth?! *laughs*

I like some things of the manga better, Fuu and Eagle seem more nice, and have qualities they seem to lack in the anime, as well as a certain humorous (at least to me, its twisted) spoiler about Mokona in the manga. Hildachan is right though, the manga did feel a bit rushed, and is my main complaint on the manga. I'd probably have to like the anime more just for that reason. The secondary characters got alot less emphasis in the manga than the anime, and alot of humor got lost (like the cuteness of Tarta and Tatra, etc.).

I like the manga better, mainly because, well, it's more to the point. And I love that Mokona-creator deal...That's one of the reasons I don't like the anime. They took that out. And they added "Nova", who I find a rather shallow, filler character. And Eagle actually DIED in the anime. Which totally SUCKS. And they can never go back either!!! I hate imperfections like that...

I prefer the manga over the anime, hehe. I've seen the first 10 episodes of the anime and I felt some parts moved a little too slow for my taste. It was a little too shoujo and cutesy as well. The manga has gorgeous artwork and it has the Mokona/Creator thing. Gotta love that. Besides, the manga was the original work of art, the anime came second.

I also prefer the manga because the anime has too much added things in it and the manga sticks to the point

I pretty much prefer manga over anime for almost all anime in general just because it was the first made and it you can make voices and sound effects yourself in your mind. Cause when you watch the anime, the voices are sometimes really bad, and a lot of times in games. So i prefered the manga over the anime cause of the better storyline (it stuck to the plot more) and just the general animation I thought was kinda weird in the anime compared to the manga. Of course I read the manga first... ^_^

:D I concur! the manga rocked...i hated the tv series. the voices...the slowness...the the things...i didn't like it. sorry for those who liked the tv...but but...blech.

I only like the OAV. The TV series was so cutesy it made me vomit. The manga was a little better I guess. The OAV is amazing. It's dark and has awesome characters in it. The animation is great too.

Anyway, the manga. I saw the first two tapes of the anime and thought I'd die! Granted that it was dubbed, it moved too slow and the voice actors were poor. I thought it was rather monotonous.

Perhaps I'm being too critical, but...That's how I felt when I watched the series.

I felt that the amine was great, but the manga just had better storytelling. It stayed true to what the original story was.
