Just ordered the first manga

I have to tell you i first got into this awesome anime cuz i was at samgoogy and i saw it on the shelf i thought the cover was cool looking so i bought it and i loved it so i ordered the first ova and it was awesome as well now i have the second ova on order and i just ordered the first manga i hope it is up to expectation let me tell you it was not easy to find cuz it is out of print but i found a comic store online that had a copy for sale it cost my 18.00 with shipping which isnt to bad i suppose well. Well my question is to all you people that read the manga is it as good and the tv series??

Japanese Manga=Good...
Englich Translated Manga=Out of order... but good if you dont' have access to Japanese manga and can't read Japanese (or don't have access to Fan Translations.)

Overall: You may not be used to the drawing style of Kosuke Fujishimas early work, however his newer works are beyond what you will see from the OVA and the Movie... its, simply put, gorgeous.

I gotta get enough cash to start buying the manga. I've been scared away by the earlier drawing style till now *blinks*..
I'll natrually be buying the manga from Japan, the primary reason's 'cause it's faster and in a lot of cases cheaper.

Studio Proteus is saying that DH will (hopefully) be re-releasing the 1st chapters in order and with the "lost" chapters included as 2 TPBs in place of the one 1-555-Goddess book. SP says early 2002 if DH agrees.

I'd read most of the Mangas so far..and compare to the videos...it's better in my view...the art is great and so is the story......

personally, i like the manga more than the series! it gives you so much more to go by, and i actually find it more amusing. But you can judge for yourself

Just curious, but did you buy the raw Japanese mangas? or did you buy the translated TPB released by Dark Horse?

Not as of yet and i do mean yet cuz i got my eye on a couple that are gonna be mine ill let you see them when i buy them these cels at least for good ones are reallyexpensive like 300-500 dollars so im looking for just the right one

A good chunk of the images you showed were exceptionally cool and what not. The last one though for 500... personally i don't think i'd pay 500 for that... the two full scenes (the one with bell and a background, and the one with the cast and the house) were rather cool looking... if you try to snag those hope all goes well.

Well i got it in the mail today along with the second ova yay i just finished reading it and i must say its awesome i loved it i guess im gonna have to buy all of them now owe my another expensive hobby but what can i say i love it

Ah, whether you buy tankoubans, graphic novels, or comics....collecting manga is darn expensive. *looks at his credit card bill with the 3 digit amount next to amazon.com and sighs* It's so worth it though. I take it you got 1-555-GODDESS? It's indeed a great TPB..got me hooked. :lol: The later ones are even better. The characters are much more developed and the artwork is much more refined. :D

yeah i found them through splash anime
