It is said in the beginning that humans are aware that they cannot control their will ,it's all controled by the hand of god and so on.

so i want to ask ,was It the will of the gods that gats will live in the end and will manage a battle against the Kindred and the hand of god? Is it a losing battle that he's fighting ,or is it that the "ego" of hand of god (if they got one) is so high that they really think that a mare human cannot control his dreams and will?

Well, I don't believe that the guardians are the only gods... They make reference to another supreme being... Perhaps another god interceded on Gatts' behalf... If the guradians are evil then there must be another being to balance them...

There is also the option that Gatts was able to break the chains of fate and create his own destiny... The God Hand isn't perfect so perhaps they underestimated the strength of Gatts' will to live...
