Macross Plus music = good!

I really like the Macross Plus music, well not the bckground music, but the Sharon Apple music, like Info High and Idol Talk they were really good, so any1 else like the music?

There were a couple of tracks that just bite though: Borderline has no structure, Santi U is just wierd, actually, the second half of Santi U is ok.

I thought all of the music in Macross Plus was good,not just the Sharon Apple songs.While those were better than the background music,it was all good,and there's one simple reason for that:it was done by Yoko Kanno.Anything Yoko Kanno does is awesome :D

One of the things I like most about Plus is the music. All of the music is great, Info High, Voices, A Sai en, Santi-U, and Borderline are my favorites.

All the music in Macross Plus is cool..., it's one of things that really makes the show for me...., Voices, A Sai en, & Torch Song are my favorites....,

I think that the music in Macross Plus made the series, if it didn't have the music that gives you the chills as you watch it, the story and action sequence would have been harder to move along. I don't remember which songs are which, but all the Sharon songs were incredible! :D

So far I have Macross Plus OST I and II (Japanese version) on CD. However, the Tokyopop licensed US version of the OST I CD has a bunch of tracks not included on the Japanese version for some reason. I plan to get that one soon because it has a beautiful orchestrated track "The National Anthem of Macross" as well as some others I haven't heard yet.

But anyways, the music to Macross Plus is probably some of the best anime music out there. "Info High" just plain rocks, and the full version of "Santi-U" (which leads directly into "Torch Song" on the CD) is very well done. I also like the full version of "Idol Talk."

Just for the hell of it, I got one of my school's French teachers to translate "Idol Talk." It gave him a pretty hard time, considering that the lyrics were written and translated from French by Japanese songwriters (made for some pretty ugly lyric typos), but he finally got it finished.

The lyrics still make virtually no sense. :rolleyes: If you want to see what I mean by that, email or PM me to get the "translated" lyrics.

I for one enjoyed it a lot. It happens to be one of the better songs on the 1st CD. The intro is a bit abrupt (it just starts right out into the vocals with no breakdown or anything), but hey, this song is coming from the same people who put a sound byte of screeching pigs (slowed down a bit and with a lot of added reverb) on the intro to the full-length version of "Idol Talk" on OST II. A little odd, but cool anyways. ;)
