Nerv's purpose

as i see it, NERV has three objectives for it to fufill it's purpose.
objective one is to protect earth from the angels
objective two is to either manipulate the angels and discover their origin, or capture the angels and clone them
objective three is the H.I.P.

objective four is the one i am confused about, the EVA project, what is project eva, and what is adam?

yes, you are correct about the eva project in one way, burt there is another aspect to the eva project, the dummie plug is also an important aspect.
