For some reason I knew this topic would come up sooner or later. Keep it straight fellow's or I will close this.
Look!!! I can Cut and Paste
I don't really think that she's a lesbien, here say, but I do this that she's confused. Throughout the Manga Rally has Sparks for Bean, but there also seems to be something with Misty also. So I can't really say. But Goldie did have her way with her and she did go down on her, but that one makes sense because her father would have died if she didn't. But the promblem about the Manga, there isn't too many "single males" for Rally. So to be honest, I can't really say.
But to add to this.
The reason I think Rally seems like a Lesbien is because she is very pasionate about everything that is close to her. Weather it be Her Friends, Her Car, Her Guns or Her Reputation. Just look what she went throught just to get the CZ-75. And in the Anime, when Radinovf cut her off, she wanted to kill her right there. This is why she seem like a Lesbien, She just keeps everything close to her, close to her heart.

I think you misunderstood me. I don't mind this being discussed, just as long as you or anyone else dosen't take this too far. It just that the subject matter could be seen as "Risky". And a few bad joke could blow this serious discussion out of the water.

Ooo. There's a pun right there :D
I think she is come to think of it. She seems hetero on face value, but I think the animators [judging only from the OAV] may have been suggesting the fact that she is. She lives with another woman [not a very strong argument, I know], she refused the guy's offer to a date [actually, I don't blame her for that one] and May's comment after she rejected him. Thats all I got right now. I'll see if I can think of anymore later

Personally all scenes of a homoerotic nature that popped up in Gunsmith Cats I think were more examples of Kenichi Sonoda's decision to cater to fan service.

Amazing how we can be debating about the sexual orintation of a fictional chara…

Well since Gunsmith Cats dosn't have any Hidden meaning to it like Eva and Lain dose, we don't really have anything else to discuss do we. It may be a great Anime, but there is only so much you can talk about it.
umm. Sorry, I am relatively new to GSC. But is it an OVA? I can only seem to find 3 episodes...
and unfortunately that's all your going to get :(
they only made three
lots of manga though if you like it ;)

Yeah, it wouldn't be much of a fan service if a guy always popped up during those scenes. Besides, he [Sonoda] may be leaving some room for the male audience to imagine what the ladies do in their spare time at home - or even at their shop :naughty:

The only way to figure this out is we need hardcore proof! We need naked pictures of Rally with another women!
Err… That didn't come one right… :heh:

Even though I dont think she is a lesbien, Rally does parade around in her underwear in fron of Minnie May.

There isn't any decent boyfriend material in GSC, the ATF guy is a total loser and May has a monopoly on Ken. That really leaves only Roy and Bean, and Roy's married (kind of an obstacle one would say) and Bean is............uh........nuts?????
She might be choosing to become a Lesbian because it's better than being entirely celibant. If Sonoda ever put in anyone for her to go after, she might drop all those lesbian ideas faster than you can say 'tall dark and handsome'.
It seems that all female characters develop somewhat homosexual feelings in shonen manga to appease the slobbering fanboys.........look at Love Hina.....

Honestly, I really don't think Rally is a lesbian. Bi maybe. A full-fledged lesbian though? I can't find any real evidence, either in the OAVs or in the manga to back that statement up.
However, I will say that Goldie, Rally's arch-rival in the manga, is a lesbian without a shadow of a doubt. She has maid-servants all over her house (for what, one can only guess), and all of them are female. She even wanted to turn Rally into her "personal" servant. In the manga, Rally gets captured, injected with really strong drugs, and stripped of all clothing other than her panties. Goldie then attempts to break her will. I don't know what method she used, but I'm not gonna try to guess here on the boards.
Rally is probably a switch-hitter, if anything. Goldie, however, definitely swings that way.

I think Goldie is the reason why she could be mistaken as one. Apart from the no men thing, and the few things she has with Misty, Goldie is the Main reason people think she is a Lesbien. When Goldie had her drugged out Goldie had her way with Rally. Now there is no way known that you can say that Rally was willing. She would have killed if Goldie said so. The next time in question is when Goldie tells her to go down on her with Rally's father watching. Now Goldie had her father under her control and he was willing to kill himself if Rally didn't do it. So she did display lesbien acts, but there are proper reasons to back it up.
Now when Rally and Misty were trying to get Bean's next drop off point, they snuck into his apartment. Now Bean happened to come home and have a shower, so Rally hid in the closet (Hidden meaning maybe). When bean came out of the shower Rally saw his, appendage, and blushed brigher than a school girl after being asked out by the most popular guy in school. Now is that a way a lesbien acts? I doubt it.
So in closing, I'm guessing that Rally is confused, and to be Honest, I bet she or Kenichi Sonoda, dosn't really know either.

Well it was a rather unexpected thing to see Bean's Penis… Rather Unexpected… Rally was freaked to see it… And I don't think most other women would be calm if they were faced with that situation…

DUDE! Too much! :vomit: You guys were serious about the manga being all out. I'm probably right in saying that thats only a small sample. Leave me out thanks. Does Kenichi write the *scripts* himself? :nono:
Yes he writes teh scripts....

Oh for the love of Pete, the reader never actually sees Bean's manhood! This is a manga series, not a hentai series. Beleive me, there would be a hell of a big difference if it was the latter (no pun intended). Just wanted to clear up any misunderstandings about Mr. Sonoda's fanservice-laden (but not outright perverted) works.
Peace!

Ah, Gunsmith Cats... I can't think of a more sensitive, enlightened examination of female sexuality in all of anime or manga. And they said it was just a fanservice romp. Ha! Shows what they know!
Anyway, about Goldie... I understand that a popular technique for breaking someone's will is to get them addicted to heroin or some other drug, and withhold any further doses until they do what you want. Withdrawal is a powerful incentive. Rally didn't do any of those things to Goldie because she wanted to, folks. Get someone addicted and they're in the palm of your hand. Now if we are to trust the judgement of the esteemed Minnie May, then Rally is still as pure as freshly fallen snow, so those of you who seek definite answers will just have to wait.
And yes, I know comparing Rally to freshly fallen snow is not a terribly logical connection, but I have Poetic Liscense to Kill and I'm not afraid to use it.

Why do I have the feeling you took that off of Final Fantasy 6? (Really though, it was a nice touch…)

This is terribly off-topic, but which part of my post were you referring to? The Poetic Liscense to Kill, or the "freshly fallen snow" bit? I'm pretty sure I came up with Poetic Liscense to Kill by myself, but the freshly fallen snow line is an old, old cliche. That's why I used it. I Wouldn't be suprised if it showed up in FF6.

Yah, this is dreadfully off topic… The snow of course…
