I wonder what this Noir anime is that all you folks here are talking about.
I have never heard of it.
Dont get me wrong ive seen a bit of anime and know a thing or two about it but i cant recall ever hearing about it.
Maybe this is because i live in australia and not much anime reaches our shores.
Has it been released in america because wouldnt it have the largest anime fan base of all the western countries.
I wonder if the americans get lots of anime.
Why is it that australia doesnt get much anime when it is so close to asia and in particular japan?
Anyway could any please answer a few questions of mine.
Is Noir set in the future and full of action like say Akira?
What group do you think itd be aimed at? i mean males females, young people, older people?
Is this anime a movie or a series?
When will it be released in australia?
And last of all would you reccommend it to people that havent seen it yet?
Before i go are there any noir websites out there on the net so i could find a bit about it?
Thankyou
I apoligise if these questions have been asked before.

It gets a fair amount if you know where to look. But like you say, the coverage isn't as great a that of the US. It hasn't been released in the US because 1) it is 2000/2001 stuff, and 2) ADV screwed up negotiations (allegedly anyway) :rolleyes2

No, it's a modern epic with medieval overtones.

Guys and girls. The older bunch doesn't seem to mind.

[b]26ep series with 1 known "making of" special.

When will it be released in australia?
Since ADV botched it, only god knows

You're asking in the wrong forum. Everyone here likes it to some degree, some with reservations

... There was a complete list of the known sites posted in one of these threads... It's been at least a month since it had been active. Plus I remember Seventh Child being the one who posted it...

Thankyou

Depends if you can watch someone die without needing to see excessive amounts of blood..... and you can live with a slow moving plot ....

When its slow, its slow. When its fighting, its kickass fighting.

is it ever slow? i seem to recall a fast paced scene in almost every episode...

if you enjoy a good plot, nice animation, good music, and an extremely cute character named kirika, youll LOVE noir =]

Um, ya it gets slow.

I remember first half of Incatible II. Damn that was slow. Then comerical break and it got REAL fast.

Does anyone know how I can watch some Noir without buying it?
I live in Australia so I have no idea where to find it.

By "buying it" do you mean paying for it? If you want to watch it for free, I can only think of 2 ways:

1) go to an anime screening
2) download it

Aside from what Seventh Child posted, perhaps some kind AB member in Oz may have it already...? But, don't ask for sites on where to d/l it..., it's against forum rules....,
