I was really never interested in it, but the more I've read about it more I want to buy/read/watch it. I read the basics behind Oh! My Goddess!/Ah! My Goddess! in Animerica's Jan '02. I have a freind that read it all the time, but I really never payed that much attention to it, but now I'm quite interested.

I suggest you follow your interest and pick up one of the mangas or OAV's. O!MG is a lovely series that is both comedic with the antics of Urd and Skuld as well as very heartfelt as you watch K1 and Bell's relationship grow. I highly suggest that you pick up 1-555-GODDESS or if you can read Japanese, some of the tankoubans.

I really suggest you get your hands on a issue of the manga or a volume of the ova... It's really worth the effort.

i totally agree, you should definately try to get your hands on some Ah! my goddess stuff!! it's so great!!

Ah! My Goddess is good, but I'm not a huge fan of the OVA's, I think its pure sappiness. I'm not a big fan of sap ^.^; The manga is much better, and the english translation is wonderful and done by Dark Horse comics, which is probably the best when it comes to americanized manga. The manga has more stuff going on and doesn't leave out so much as the OVA's do. Urd, Peorth, and Skuld and such get some time in as well, while the OVA's mainly focus on just Belldandy and Keiichi's relationship.

Ummmm. I wouldn't go that far. It's very romantic and cute. That may be "sappy" to some folks, but not me.

And Beldandy just looks so great in the sidecar.:lol:

yah...i agree, i've never really liked the OVA's...they're too slow. and i enjoy the other characters that are in the manga but never included in the show!

comparatively, the manga prices can be pretty cheap (better than like VIZ prices)
