hiya, new guy here.
i've finished the OVA and TV series for ROLW.
i've quite a few questions actually, hopefully someone in this forum can answer for me :D

from the OVA

The golden dragon, after being bitten by the marmo dragon in the neck started screeching for a while, some light appeared from it's body and went floating towards another dragon(ice?) so this dragon awoke and then the golden dragon was like okay all of a sudden and starts attacking the marmo dragon? huh? i thought it's injured and what are the other 2 dragons(ice and water?) doing in the air anyway.

next is, how come the old man with globe seems to be on good terms with karla? they actually chit chated while the stupid evil goddess(which takes real long to resurrect) is supposely being resurrected?

last but not least, is ashram god? cause he actually fight and fell and came back up again many times, he's in god mode?

from the TV

during the starting theme, there's this white haired elf running on a stairway right? why isn't this character in the serie itself?

these are the questions i have after watching the series for 1st time round. hopefully i can get answers for these questions. thanks in advance :D

Wort was the name of the old man, and he's a sorcerer, I believe one of the 6 heroes, Wort knows of the legends of Kastuul, the magic kingdom, and he wasn't on good terms with her really, they just knew one another, and why they didn't interfered? because karla is only there to make sure the balance of power exist, human corruption from power worries her more.

Not elf, but a thief... I believe you're talking about Ryna... her hair looks white there...

1:As you know the Lodoss world is much like the game D&D.The Gold Dragon(Moss) summoned help from a friendly silver dragon while the Black Dragon(Narse) summoned help from a fellow evil blue dragon(Bramn).

2:Ashram is a powerful fighter for one thing.Funny thing in the series, the Demon Sword is mentionned constantly yet we have no idea of it's exact powers. He also has help from powerful allies like Pirotess.

You have that confused: Narse called upon the power of Abram, the evil sea dragon. Mycen called on Bramd, the ice dragon. They were never in the air, they just sent their energy to help them.

Mycen recovered from his wounds when Parn reversed the energy of Kardis, thus giving Mycen more power.

Ashram is not god, just really tough and has the Demon Sword.

Wort is on good terms with Karla because they both fought together 30 years ago against the Demon King.

Yes, that is Ryna in the opening. Her hair is a silver-white color in the opening and in some pictures, but in the anime its red.

They have the power to attack and destroy spirit creatures in addition to completly annihilating normal life. They both have the power to kill immortals, and they provide the user with superhuman strength and inhuman agility (Ashram was able to actually jump high enough to strike Abram in the head).

Also, they possess a degree of manipulation powers. I recall Ashram raising the sword to the sky and disentegrating a small band of goblins and ogres. And when that soldier jumped at Beld, he made the guy stop as if he had run into a brick wall just by holding the sword up.

just a Q

Beld technically WASNT a bad guy... he just used the "dark" forces instead of ppl right

Beld *IS* a badguy, at least for 30 years he was. He *WAS* (note the past tense) a good guy, and a dear friend of King fahn. He was a strong and noble knight who actually killed the evil Demon King. In doing so, however, his sword was bathed in the Demon King's blood and became an object of evil. The power of the god of evil flows through the blade, turning it into the Demon Sword Soul Crusher. When Beld touched this sword he was corrupted by it. Over the 30 years that passed, his mind became darker and darker until he was evil.

Ashram, however, is the one who really isn't a bad guy, he's just extremely confused about how to go about things, or as Parn said, he has a different way of accomplishing his goals than he (parn) does. When Beld Dies, Ashram's problem seems to be that he doesn't understand what it means to be a true leader, and thinks that Emperor Beld's dream was the answer. It isn't until the end when he decides to end the war between Marmo and Lodoss forever that he truly changes, but for all intents and purposes he really isn't all that bad.
