how many people do you have in your party, that is a basic character (not a hero character)

I have the whole slot filled! But five of my char. including Ramza and Cid and three other normals have all jobs mastered and top-class armor, weaponry, accessories etc. I used no codes and played over a period of 80 hours! This game goes in my top 5 games of all time if not surely top 3!! I'm unstoppable on FFT as I am on FF7, Xenogears, Soulblade, FF9 and I'm working on FF8 still and almost perfect on Breath of Fire 3, but it's hard gaining levels after some time even with fighting the mage guy at the warehouse area next to the city...you know. (you don't... ) Persona 2 is a hard game. Anyhow, back to the topic. :D The whole amount is....about 20 I guess. I need to play that game again. Unlike most, I bought that game the week it came out years ago. I got that special instinct for games. Unfortunately I haven't bought much lately, that's not a bad sign, I've just been low on cash. Debt low. :heh: Anyhow, back to the topic; deja vue was it? :dodgy:

I have all of my slots filled, I also made the effort to get the secret characters, such as beowulf, cloud, etc. on one file I have most of my characters stats and levels maxed out, on another file they're about level 60-ish, cool game though....

I just checked that. The total capacity in formation is 16. There are plenty of hero units. So if you want to collect them all I would suggest not to have anymore than 3 regular char. Remember, some of those hero units have unfortunate faults so pose as no real use. Cid is a very good hero char. to always have by your side. The chocobo aren't really that useful in the long run. I have a behemoth of 800hp and extreme muscular power. :D

And i have a samurai, a ninja, a lancer.

And i have a samurai, a ninja, a lancer. Lancers and ninjas are good. The lancer can reach two spaces which makes it efficent. Also I believe the lancer can learn a technique that ups its attack strength by using both hands on a weapon insead of one and a shield. Unfortuately the lancers abilities to just jump and land on an opponent isn't very good. The enemy can always have the chance to move out of the way from that one block. The ninja can learn the technique of holding two weapons a once. Double the damage! The samurai is also powerful if you have the cash. Having a potential samurai on you team is a definate plus. The breaking of katanas will cost you though. As for the team you got, I'd drop the priest. I nevered needed one since a had a good chemist; but you will also have to have plenty of money to purchase enough items for the tough battles. The chemist's auto-potion technique is extraordinarily useful when it comes to those tough battles where you don't have time to revitalize yourself all the time. Although, it again can really cost you if an enemy hits you for minor damage and you cure with a high potion. Priests, summoners, calculators, dancers, bards, geomancers, etc. aren't really that helpful but may have a very important/helpful technique that requires you to build up their strengths through many battles. Is your fighter a knight or squire? You should exit those classes as soon as possible with a better job. Basically, make sure you have a bunch of money and don't just jump into the next battle to progress the story further. Sure if you do that, the monster will automatically become more powerful and give more exp. points, but you should just walk around and level up before moving onto the next story battle. You may already know that. Battle gives you $ and you find it's much better to stay near a town when fighting. This is because, you can go to an inn to restore you health for a small sum of money. I you use potion etc. in battle when not necessary, you really are wasting money, especially when simply leveling up.
