after the war and two years has passed and macross comes crashing back to earth....


just when misa hayase (lisa) and Hikaru(rick) is getting along, she comes in to get hikaru back in her life which i think is her own fault that she lost hikaru...she just didnt give him enough attention...and now that misa is getting to like him, minmei comes to the picture and try to strip hikaru away from misa!!!!

i really hate minmei for that.....

Minmay may be annoying, but she sure does give the plot and character development some spice. That's one of the great things about Macross, the love triangle. Who will Hikaru choose?

I wish everyone wouldnt use the damn Hikaru name, its Rick Hunter, the American version put robotech on the map not the japanese version, hell japan has long forgotten about the series. If im going to watch any version of the series its going to be the american, because in my eyes thats the only version.

Minmay has to exist and she needs to be like how she is, I knew from the moment that Rick met Lisa Hayes who he would choose. Everyone knows the heros are always alone at the end, sure Rick was a hero, but he wasnt the main one, Minmay was the reason they won. Its the price of fame.

Well,I didn't find Minmei too annoying at all,but you have to remember,that even while she does do some things that can be annoying,they are what make the love story in the series so great.If she weren't there to interfere and keep Rick and Lisa from getting together for a while,then it wouldn't have been such an interesting story.But if we're gonna examine this looking at it not from our point of view on it as watching a show,Minmei didn't realize what she was doing if you ask me.She wasn't aare of how much Rick and Lisa cared for each other,and how much they needed each other.Also,Minmei was confused as well,Being famous and under so much stress,on top of the way Kyle had treated her until he just decided to abandon her pretty much,she was just hurt.She had already thought she loved Rick as more than just a friend in the past,and she really needed someone there for her at the time,so she looked to Rick,and thought that loving him and marrying him was what she wanted,but later she realized that she had been lying to herself.I didn't find her annoying,she was having a lot of trouble at the time,and while it's true that everyone was,she just wasn't quite as mature as Rick and Lisa.
