Naru (from Love Hina) and Aya (from Ayashi no Ceres) - maybe it's only me, but they seem SO alike. Anybody else feel the same way?

I find Naru and Aya different as in:
1. Naru is an idiot
2. Aya is not an idiot
:D
+ I think Aya has a cute voice. ^_^

you really think theyre the same? personality, looks, or both?

i dont really think theyre alike at all...honestly...but thats just me. maybe the hair color, but thats about it..

also, aya seems a bit more mature, not to say that naru ISNT mature..

There is a similiarity, but it is hard to notice because the 2 girls are in different situations.

So much anime to watch, just finding the time to watch it.

Well, this is a compare and contrast that I never thought I would see... o_O

Aya like Naru? Uh... No.

Aya doesn't like to hurt people and is far from the type to go about punching young men into outer space. Naru doesn't have a tenyo inside her, trying to kill her family.

Also, uh Scanned... They aren't the same age, I don't think. I could be very wrong on this. It's just that Aya is still in high school and Naru is trying to get into Tokyo U...

No, not even their hair color is the same. Naru has brown hair and Aya has blonde. Plus, Aya doesn't have antinae. ^_^

Cain, I hardly see how what you said is possible since LH is a light-hearted comedy show and AnC is a dark romance drama.... *blinks* A bit hard for both shows to be alike, no?

Also, Naru hasn't been through the same things that Aya has. Such as having her family try to kill her, watching her father die in front of her, having her twin brother want to make love to her... Those sorts of things.

All in all, I really don't see how you came up with this insane concept to start with...

they're nothing alike. i just can't see them having anything in common.

as shi said, the shows are too different to compare. Naru is funny, and violent and lighthearted, and overall a young woman trying to start her life. She still has much too learn, yet she's a charismatic enjoyable character.

Aya has a different kind of depth, given to her by the traumatic experiences she has lived through.

There's no way I can see a comparison working. too different from where i see it.
