I was reading Animerica a little while back and saw this pull-out of FLCL(fooly cooly/Furi Kuri), hmmm...looks interesting but have no clue to the story line. And strangely enough that artwork is very familiar from another series (is it NGE?).

Sorry there bud, but it's just good. I can't really explain the story myself.
If you watch it, this is what will happen. Once you get introduced to that crazy chick, you'll say WTF every 20 seconds. I'm not jokeing. After you finish an ep, you'll think THIS ROX and will want to watch more.

There are only 6 eps, and you MUST watch them in order.

it's a cute romantic comedy about boy meets girl. it has a few nice twists... and keeps you interested. it's really cute and sweet... just watch it for yourself.

It's a anime you'd simply have to watch - I doubt any of us'd be able to adequatly explain the story, theme, and whatever else. I'm not sure if it's 'cause we haven't understood it or 'cause it's simply unexplainable.

Well.... the reason it reminds you of Neon Genesis Evangelion is because the same company who does EVA does FLCL, aka Gainax, who also does Kare Kano (weeee).

I doubt any of us can explain this series, even good sites can... but here are a few looks to get you started and interested....
