Does anyone know of plans for the manga?

Hi, I'm new here. I haven't seen a definitive answer on this anywhere? There does seem to be a general consensus that the anime will be released on DVD in the US, but does anyone know of plans for an English translation of the manga? Especially since the anime is only a part of the story.

There doesn't seem to be any definite plans for the release of the manga that I could find... I know it has been released in Italian though...

Actually, I think the release of the manga will happen if the sales of the DVDs are as good as expected... But from what I understand, Media Blasters paid a huge amount for the rights to the Berserk anime and they will have to sell a lot to make back their money...

But there has been a fairly big surge in American releases of manga lately... I know that I just bought the first issue of Bastard! that just came out at the starting of this month... I doubt it will be long before someone finds out about Berserk and publishes it iin North America...
