It's kind of pointless to pick up a few details, and smack the series with it, and not notice all the complex yet beautiful charecters/plot/animation/sounds etc.

There's also that thing in incotabble part 2, whe Karika falls to kill the guy, she should've had her leg broken by the downward foce. Then again, she can shoot a gun with one arm. Damn secret Soldat steriods made from grapes...

lol hai thankz heerogf ^^
hm.. the point is that if it's such a great anime then why can't they improve upon it? ...
Tee heee.
I didn't want to create a post of my own since most here are pro-noir.But Noir is very poor in terms of story telling/animation,maybe the plot is "interesting" for some.
My Points:
All the evil dudes wear suits, and sound the same.
There is no blood.
Ten trillion close ups or pans, during each episode.
Flashbacks that last like 3 minutes, and they like to use
the same flash back over a few episodes.
All the enemies die in the same way, with the same grunt.
The abilities of the Noir chicks isn't realistic. They went against 100s of evil bad guys/gals ...no one could touch them.I think if the stupid idiots wouldn't let the camera zoom in real close as they gasp..then kikira gasps...then chole gasps...then mirelle gasps...then the bad guy gasps, then mirelle gasps again, then another guy comes into view and gasps...then kikira gasps and shoots the guy ...then chole jumps and we see a slow mo of her cape waving while she attacks a guy from behind and he acts all surprised even though they've been standing and staring at each other for 10 minutes......bah....
Plus the true reason for the Soldats is shoddy at best...Something about bad lighting...if there is too much darkness turn on a freakin' light.
One more thing is that many Noir "nuts" out there consider the blood element not needed,"it wasn't part of the "story".Even the AnimeAnswerMan on animenewsnetwork.com said this.
This is balony..In the episode were they face the poison nail polish girl and Kikira kills like twenty people and their bodies are on the ground and there is NO BLOOD....anywhere not a drop! It looks S-T-U-P-I-D.

Well Iam done ranting...
Not that Iam puting down Noir or anything..But I liked Chloe..so I had to watch the rest...but still...you know..it's not a masterpiece.

You have to understand the reason behind no blood. Go find out and the come back. It's a minor nucience. If you don't like it, too bad. Go watch Ninja Scroll.
Poor storytelling? Go watch some porn. Noir has a very good story.
All evil dudes sound same? Yep. It cost more to get more people.
Close ups? Hot chicks rock. I don't mind.
Flashbacks? Ok, you win on this one.
The picture I posted..Doesn't it look more like a bunch of idiots fells down the stairs?

what's wrong with having no blood? i know it's goes agaisnt the anime law of ppl having over 10000 gallons of blood, noir is alot more realistic than some other anime in term of this, when u shoot somebody with a gun, only a few drops of blood come out, not their testicles or other organs

We've already discuessed the no blood. It fits with "Film Noir."

Yes, we have.
Blood represents the heart. If one is evil, he/she does not have a heart. Therefore s/he will not bleed.
That's why those people do not bleed.
It's a boring story with a ridiculous storyline. I finally get to see it and there is only a few moments of greatness in its whole 26 episodes (mainly Kirika's extreme agility in close-combat which does not get shown in the series often enough). Instead, they decide to use cheap shots of her shooting and bad guys crumpling down with a grunt (as klinky mentioned). Maybe they're trying to save money and not go over the budget or something.
And the staircase battle is so ridiculous. I was pissed off, man. What the hell is that supposed to be ? Never mind the lack of blood. That battle is nonsensical. Speedlines and grunts and confusion. It wasn't planned out that clearly for the audience. It reminded me of those samurai scenes where the samurai runs through a bunch of bad guys, and the camera shows the samurai with the bad guys in the background standing still for a second or two, before the bad guys can be seen crumpling to the ground. Nobody knows how it happened.
And the way they kept saying the word "Noir" everytime as if in ecstasy just irritated me. And Chloe is irritating as well with her small eyes and unnatural hair color and poseurish costume. These are just little things which irritates me, no big deal.
The storyline isn't that strong. The ending isn't that strong. The series starts with a lot of potential but it just gets more and more ridiculous as it progresses. The episode I enjoyed the most was Kirika's momentary friendship with the painter. That at least has a nice story to it.

....Chloe irritating?..... "..small eyes?"... would you have preferred her with bigger eyes? What's wrong with small eyes -- "unnatural hair-color"?...well it's an anime, would it have mattered what hair colour is? these complaints seems to focus on the artificial side of things -- animes are more than pretty pictures - unless it's BeyBlades or some other type with that kind of merchandising.
Animes are essentially fantastical and metaphorical. That's why it's an anime. And I'm sorry, maybe the writers should've consulted you before making it, and ... maybe you're just one of those people who preferred more action than story... because it seems like you focus more on the action than the core of what Noir is about...

I don't mind the fact that theres no blood, but this scene is one of the major contributing factors why I found Noir rather mechanical. There was no flow especially in this scene. She walks right upto the guys - some 30 of them - and she wastes about 5 of them point blank. But moreso it was the fact that the fighting animation was really blocky. There was no flow in most, if not all, the fight scenes. The plot was the redeeming factor in this series IMO.

............ ok so you would've preferred them to show Kirika killing all of them right?.... but they can only fit so much in the alotted time allowed per episode..I think.. if they showed her killing ech guard it would've added an extra 5 minutes to the whole thing which would mean they would have to make it three part story....which..I think.. would've just taken away from the point of the whole battle...
