2nd Stage is over! Or is it? [Spoiler ahead]

Well, after watching the 2nd Stage, it was very cliche ending (good guy wins, bad guy loses) and everybody became peace (the men and women) and all their fellow mates they have met goes away. Of course, they never explained the jewel on Hibiki's forehead, what's grandpa Jin's role, and why is Hibiki so special. Then an Internet accquitance told me season 3 is already underway. Of course, I'll take his word for it, but I'm digging for more concrete info right now.

VSS 13 left a lot to be desired... I wouldn't be surprised if there was a third stage.

They also didn't quite cover Misty's awakening quite that well either. Yes, definitely a lot more unanswered qustions, but hopefully they'll consider a Third Stage. Remember, Second Stage just ended, so anything's possible until we get good info :D

well i think hibiki was connected to pexis thats why he was important. like taht evil good who somehow controlled the red pexis if u remember and used it on hibiki while he was in the kids ship, but hibiki also could prob use pexis at his disposle. also i think hibiki is important because ith ink hibiki is the person that helps explain to pexis what life is and all :D not sure on misty, maybe her role was to deliever the message i guess

Oh there's definitely going to be a third stage,too many questions left unanswered.

1:Where does Misty come from?And why was she frozen in space like that?

2:Will Jura find a man to give her a baby?What is Barnette's view on that?(they were girlfriends after all,althought she doesn't seem to mind)

3:When will Hibiki and Dita be solid together?(It took him 2 seasons to say her name for pete's sake!)

4:What did Pai mean by "I will start living for myself"?

5:When will Magno die from her heart condition?

6:How will Bart and BC's relationship evolve?Will BC revert to Uragasumi Tenmeini?Or is he an accomplished transvestite?

7:What is the Pexis exactly?How does the earth kid uses it like that?

8:How did Gasco-san survive her crash?

9:How will Ezra and Rebecca handle Pyoro?

10:How will Earth react to the loss of their motherships and the red Pexis?

But all in all it was a really good ending.I was expecting the Nirvana to face the motherships alone and get back-up from Meijeruu and Taraaku at the last minute.I certainly didn't expect Rabat and the telepathic guys,nor the anti-Earth fleet.

By the way,a reason why Hibiki was so important was because of his experience.He has lived with both men and women and has met many people,wich is why Grandma and Grandpa left him the decision(although regretfully).

hmm good questions, but lets not give hope on a 3rd stage :D

well, IMHO, I think that there probably won't be a Third Stage. Earth has had her fleet CRIPPLE (don't foget, there where what, about six motherships out there to begin with, plus the "boss ship"). One of those was eliminated at the end of First Stage, one was rammed and captured by Gascogne, and the other three where smacked out at the Battle of Taraaku, with one being lost to the minefield and the other two casualties of the massed ships of the Good Guys.

I think that the Earth has learned that this is not a good place to come too... they tend to lose major fleet units there.

There is no real point in going to earth, as there is nothing to "take back", as its all screwed up anyway.

Hibiki's importance is that he is the binding force between males and females, IE he has adapted successfully to the old cultural system (possibly because of his early childhood. As he is 16, and was taken out of cryostatis 14 years ago, it means he was 2... which is an imporatant age in development.) We all know that he and DiTa will "get it on".

All other questions are not really of importance to the series. Paiway's "i'm going to start living for myself" is her epiphany (revelation, elightenment, such as when Bart went psycho, and Hibki visited the planet of the telepaths). Although this occured quite late in the series, it is the still the principal point of character development.


If there IS a Third Stage, it isn't going to have quite the same impact as the First and Second stages, as the great plot objective has been acheived. Maybe there will be a movie or a couple of OAVs, but only for a final wrap-up, and then probably only if the fans demand it.

Actually if you have seen ep.2 you will notice that Earth has quite a lot of mother ships. From that brief scene alone I'd estimate they have arround 50~80 mother ships. Also, I don't think the "Boss Ship" had the Red Pexis core on it; just a very powerful Pexis device. I believe it's still on Earth waiting and scheming.

Do you know what would have been really cool though?

Remember those guys in the first episode of the first stage who dared Hibiki to steal a Bangatta?They should have made the Super Vandread land in front of them(and why not the entire Dread fleet) so Hibiki could brag a little :lol: I would have loved to see the face of those guys after that :)
