i just got my fansub (eps. 1-5) and i just watched 1-2. its really really really SLOW. im really not liking it, when does it pick up the pace? does it get good?

and for the positive points, i love the music, the animation and character designs.

lol...i actually thought the first fight scene was pretty gay, until she hung the guy with his tie..now THAT was cool...

as far as the story goes..

(recaps eps 1-4) itll, definately pick up, just enjoy the good music, chracter designs, and nice fights scenes until then..

personally i thought the story got interesting in the double digits...i think its enough to keep you hooked. also, some new characters get introduced later which you might find to be quite interesting. keep watching, im sure youll enjoy it.

All the episodes are enjoyable, because Noir is definetely "quality anime", but the main story starts to unveil in episode 20, in my opinion.

That late? Are we going to miss out on much if we start watching at ep 20?

One has to love the music.

I have only seen a select number of episodes (Quiet Mark!) and I really have just found it a general killing spree.

The story does have an interesting plotline though, too many dead bodies though, but that is in my opinion.

I personally felt the story starts to unravel at ep. 10 (with the main introduction of Chloe), but things really start heating up at ep. 21 (when Mireille discovers something about her and Kirika's past). But that's just my opinion :)

I've gone up through episode 8 recently and have to disagree, i've found myself loving this series for the precise reason that it is a story. While it may be moving slowly for some, I myself am enjoying trying to unravel the puzzle of Noir by paying careful attention to the scenes and situations, you'd be surprised how much of the series so far has spent on the exacting task of character development and story.

TM is loving it.

it gets better later on plot wise when hidden characters are finally reviled and twists and truths come forward :D

thats what ive been hearing. if you guys didnt say that, then i probably would have stopped watching noir. and a question, is there a second series/season for noir?

If you'd be an observant reader, you'd notice, that there is a thread "2nd season of noir" right here, on the Noir board.

So, basically there's a big chance there'll be 2nd season of Noir.

yeah what scanned said, but i have no clue whats its plot gunna be, there has been a lot of discussion for it in the second season noir thread somewhere :D

ok, just viewed episode 11-15, 11 and 12 were kinda...average, 13,14 and 15 were ALL awesome, finally, something's happening. i like ep. 13 the best, its refreshing to see kirika smile (she is SO cute) and i was (ahem) touched at almost the end when kirika bought the stuff mihoshi wanted that was always sold-out. its just sad on what happened...

o yea, was kirika..."in love" with mihoshi? isnt that jailbait or something?

Why don't you just watch the whole series, most of the questions will be answered in episodes 24-26.

just watched episode 16-21 (spoilers from here on out)

i liked episode 16, 17-19 are average and 20 was boring. 21, was great, emotional, although i wasnt really shocked with the revelation. i was already deducing that kirika had something to do with mireille's parents death. when mirielle said that the watch was his father's, i was wodering how kirika had it in the first episode. well anyhow, im just hoping that was not the huge letback everyone is talking about here

I saw the last episode about a week or so ago, and it was quite thrilling.

I didn't understand the complexities of what was going on, but the final 'fight' was very dramatic.

You have to take Noir as a whole series rather than episode by episode. If you take it by each episode, than you're truly missing out on the great story. Basically the first half of the series is background and character development, the second half is where the plot really unfolds. My suggestion is to watch the entire series than comment on it. That's what I did. :D
