View Full Version : The sluttily cool Ending Theme "Himegoto."

Ronin Aquila

Ah, yes, Himegoto, the ending theme of Vandread 1st season. The images of the ending sequence showcase of Gonzo's girl craziness.

And is it just me, or does the song sound like its sung by a 15 year old girl simultaneously trying to flirt with a 25 year old man and groping herself to orgasm? :heh:

Slutty or not, its still a cool ending sequence and song. :D

Kinda a mix of comedy and fanservice - least that's what I thought when I saw it. The SD Hibiki running through those sexy scenes is just hilarious - especially when he lays eyes on Jura in that "red light" crimson background

Lol,it's funny when he throws the girls away. And what?Did you expect an anime about a ship full of kawaii girls without some fan service?

I pretty much discerned that from the probably now-famous scene in episode 1 of first season where Hibiki cops the only feel on Dita's chest he gets all series...and he doesn't know what he's grabbing...

That and Jura is a 24/7 fanservice bombshell. She's worse than Misato sometimes, and she doesn't even try, which is the scary part.

Edit- almost forgot, in a funny moment, I was playing on a public server for CounterStrike (I play as [HDC]Hibiki_Tokai) and I was the last counter terrorist left in the round. I was getting ready for a shootout and one of the terrorist guys yelled "hey Hibiki, how's Dita in the sack?". I laughed....but I let go of the button I was using to crouch, and promptly got shot in the head. Bahhh...

Lol.If anyone plays Utopia,I am Sir Hibiki Tokai of Valley of Vandread (our kingdom themes are Valleys)

Yeah,I remember that in episode 1 as well. And little innocent Dita didn't seem to mind.In fact she scared the heck out of Hibiki

What about the scene when she wanted to see what his "antenna" looked like? The innocence in that was truly adorable. :kawaii:

don't forget, Hibiki and Dita have had other "touching" moments.... when in about the 4th ep of Vandread 2, dita is climbing a ladder ahead of Hibiki.... and she stops.. hes not looking where hes going and ends up shoving his face in her backside... and she smiles and blushes a bit.. obviously she enjoyed that.

Frank_kun

Frankly, my favorite Hibiki/Dita moments come at the last episodes of both seasons. In both, you get some nice moments between the two that help reinforce perceptions of them discovering intergender love.

But as for scenes like the Hibiki cop-a-feel, my favorite has to be in episode 10 of first season, when we see Cel out of that bear suit for the first time and Hibiki stumbles in by mistake and smashes his face on her rear. There's a nice "dramatic comedic" pause in which you see the complete shot of where Hibiki landed - I had to pause it to see just how many outfits Cel had.....geeez. I don't think even real-life cosplayers have that many costumes, though I'm sure the Cel character was sort of a poke at that.

Ronin Aquila
30-01-02, 11:00 AM
What about wigs? Most cosplayers I know just stick to one wig and work all their costumes around it for the rest of their cosplaying career.

tekblade
30-01-02, 08:14 PM
hmmm who knows  some ppl dont use wigs and just stick strictly to the custome. thye prob just do their hair style to match the character their trying to cosplay but i havent seen anyone with wigs. i saw some with helmets though :D

I just saw it for the first time five minutes ago on AXN. COOOOOOOOLLLLL!!!

Ronin Aquila
07-02-02, 10:51 AM
AXN of which country? For there was not even a single trace of advertisment for telecasted Vandread in Taiwan as of yet.

Wait a second, has American TV become this open minded towards multiculturalism in media? Or has it? :confused.

DNA_Master
07-02-02, 11:41 AM
First of all... what is AXN?

Secondly... WHY THE HELL DO THE YANKS GET EVERYTHING FIRST?!??!?

and thirdly... WHY THE HELL DOES IT TAKE SO LONG FOR EVERYTHING TO COME TO AUSTRALIA?

*waa* want more vandread....

lol  well i just saw pics of ppl doing cosplay and stuff. i remember one girl who cosplayed, and i must say she liked pretty damn fine :D my friend told me theres one coming up and him and his sis are gunna go, well he aint sure. the thing is its 20 us. dollars addmission. i mean damn and that just lets you in. then there are going to be high prices for anime stuff since ppl love to crank anime type stuff to the roof. oh well, but still i cant complain that we at least have them, though i wish i could go

Back on the topic of the song, i've seen some videoclips from the artists who did this song.(SiLC, a band composed of two people, the guy who does the music and Miki the singer) It did sorta look a bit slutty but nothing too much, at least she wears more clothes than Britney Spears. Just a little bit 'sensual', not in a slutty way like our teeny boppers.

Ronin Aquila
07-02-02, 11:29 PM
Those anime-hating Bible lickers ought to take a look at Britney, and then think twice about daring to say that only the Japanese sexualise their minors in media. :mad2:

tekblade

lol  yeah, and i remember a while ago britney says she doesnt wanna be a sex model, cough cough bs cough after all that stuff she does i wonder why no one complains about her :D

Ronin Aquila
09-02-02, 12:44 AM
Because she's white and anime girls are not!! :mad2:

Racist bible licking housewives got nothing to do so go and pick on anything asian why don't they all just go and get raped. :mad2:

Cyfith
09-02-02, 12:58 AM
Bravo. You have just proven yourself to be as intolerant as the people you criticize.

Careful with that "rape" comment Aquilla. You're going to offend a lot of women.

Ronin Aquila
09-02-02, 01:37 AM
You know, as an Asian, its very hard not to dislike (to use a mild word) overly zealous Christians.

A case to support my dislike of them occured in the second last week before the end of last semester in 2001, in Literature Class. The discussion was on the omnipotence of Yawey, the Hebrew-Judaeo-Christian God.

I did not openly criticise his teachings that day. All I said in defense of my culture's validity in the international scheme of things was:

"Why would Yaweh's teachings apply to Asians? After all, the bible only said he created the Hebrews. Who is to say that he created us Asians as well?"

Snap, Crackle and Pop, a narrow minded God Fearing Girl Promptly stood up and took over the theature, lecturing how my race was doomed to go to hell before the Brits waltzed in with their ships of iron, for we did not have Jesus in our hearts. I retorted:

"Does this justify poisoning us with opium and raping our women?"

She stood dumbfounded for a moment, and then ignoring the truth I stated continued with her attempt at converting me to loving Jesus.

I repeated my ultimantum, several times I might add. She then resorted to "God moves in mysterious ways" and "It was Satan at work, not God" to justify the opium war.

See how easy it is to hate pusbags like her? :(

Cyfith
09-02-02, 01:51 AM
I can sympathizeyphatize with you. However, it's the generalization that I don't like. From your statement it seemed you were generalizing that all white girls were like that and the "rape" comment didn't help either.

Ronin Aquila
09-02-02, 02:19 AM
I'm sorry for not being too clear on this. :(

I was condemning those housewives who are so scared of Yaweh that they hate people who don't follow his teachings word for word.

That is to say:

Asians. (For not being white enough).

Martial Artists. (For promoting the beauty of Eastern Culture)

Anime Fans (See Previous Two Reasons)

Buddhists (See Previous Three Reasons)

Players of "Dungeons And Dragons" and other RPGS (For "worshipping Satan?" Bull Crap!!)

Readers of JRR Tolkien (See Above)

Readers of "Harry Potter (See Above)

Any Minority Group: (For not worshipping Yaweh)

What is more is that there are some who put in the effort of making rallies against the hobbies mentioned above (including Anime), join the KKK to put their hatred of racial minorities into application, try to outlaw Martial Arts outright (Die, B!tches!!) and even make entire websites to spread their hatred across the world like foul butter over moldy bread.

(Look under "Anti-Dungeons and Dragons" on Yahoo and you'll see exactly what I mean.)

Then guess what? They act all pure and righteous in front of their husbands and sons, and behind their backs get impregnated with the love child of the neighbourhood plumber because they are so bored with their equally God Fearing spouses.

In summary. My contempt is not to white girls at all (In fact I'm in love with one). My hatred is reserved for those Bored Christian Housewives who think being white and wearing a cross gives them the badge to say being Asian is a sin.

Take Care Brothers an sisters. :(

Also, which school did you attend? I'm surprised you didn't file a lawsuit.

Thank you, Mr/Ms Cyfith. I'll put your advice to some thought.

10-02-02, 11:29 AM
Well, I picked up the first DVD yesterday..I must say, seeing the ending theme for first season puts a whole new spin on fanservice when its in digital-quality DVD...

I'm currently hooking some friends into the series, and seeing the Jura shots in that sequence will probably make more than a few noses bleed...

Ronin Aquila
10-02-02, 11:32 AM
Such a pity that the fansubs have that sequence so blurry, isn't it.

Anyway, once again, I formally apologise for my extremely unnecessary remark on the previous page. Though admittedly I cannot promise to change my temper, that particular misdemeanour will not happen again. :(

tekblade
10-02-02, 08:05 PM
well i guess you couldnt help it, everyone has their own ideas and passion, so i guess it was kinda hold back. any how, im still happy with my vandread fansubs :D

DNA_Master
10-02-02, 11:58 PM
Yes. Blurry fansubs are better than no fansubs. At least second-stage is in brilliant quality.

so tell me Frank_Kun, what is the english dubbing like? I need to know so I can start putting money away for when Vandread gets to tasmania in about a year and a half, most likely... damn americans snapping everything up.

and bible-bashers ARE quite hypocritical. Its very easy (and cowardly) to just say "god made it so" "act of god" "god moves in mysterious ways" whenever you have something unexplained, but it takes guts to explain an opposing viewpoint. Good job Ronin Aquilia, keep bashing the bible-bashers.

and they arn't exactly innocent themselves... a few years ago there was a big thing in Australia about priests "doing over" little boys in their parishs.

besides, J-girls are better looking than most western girls I've seen. My sister gave me a Japanese girl's magazine that she got off a friend who got it off an exchange student, and I must say that the girls in there are VERY kawaii... especially the ones in traditional dress. *nosebleed* ack by nosd...

Not yet. For you see, as far as she's concerned, we are as of yet (still very good) buddies. The catch is, I've not told her I like her "that" much yet.

Also, she is one of those regrettably few sweet girls out there. Really don't want to scare her off by revealing the truth out too early, do I?

However, I will endeavour to be in a photograph with her within the next year. Until then I apologise for being unable to comply to your request. :heh:
