Still, I wonder what the main storyline will be. I guess that Mireille and Kirika shan't have a quiet peaceful life in Paris after all. Which is sooooo sad. But least we can see more of Kirika!

The girls gonna go: DAMMIT, STOP PUMPING THESE DRUGS INTO MY SYSTEM TO MAKE ME EXTRA STRONG.

Then they gonna kill soldat.

Then Red fills screen.

Then they wake up and on a bloody scene.

Then one goes "I hate this feeling."

But season two proves that they lived through ep 26.

I still think the main story will be "Noir vs Soldats". Which is quite expectable.

Err... Assuming you have seen the last eps, how do you expect that would happen...

They'll wish her back with the Dragonballs. And Altena will be rebuilt as a cyborg, only to be consumed by Kirika in her quest to become the ultimate lifeform. But I jest.

Seriously, this is old news. The news series is not going to be a continuation of the old series but a "retelling" along the lines of what Tenchi does. The new title will be Najica Blitz Tactics. There should already be early samples on the web.

So are they going OVA so the series can become darker or whatever?

Or are you yanking my chain on that too =.=

Actually, I think Koichi Mashita is producing another TV series, but I'm not sure whether it is an actualt continuation of Noir.

Also, there will almost definitely be a Noir "sequel" of some sort, as Kuwashima Houko reportedly confirmed it herself in an interview in the new Noir artbook "Les Deux Vierges". So everybody can let out a merry "WAI!" :D

Oh, and the only way I can see Chloe still being in the series is if they do a Bebop kinda thing, with the sequel set in between eps. :)

Wel... a prequel comes before the original story. A sequel comes after. What do you call something that comes in during the original story line?? A "midquel" :P

lol, yeah that was what I was wondering. :) That's why I kept on putting "sequel" in inverted comas. I didn't know what else to call it. ;)

Hi, this is my first post, but ...

When a story takes places in the middle of a longer tale, it's usually called "in medias res." Homer's Odyssey is the most stunning example of this. :D

I'm not sure if I spelled it right, it's Latin. I'm a German scolar. Oh well.

Luna.

Ronin Aquila

Quite accurately spelt. :D

And welcome to Animeboards, Mr Lunagenic. :kawaii:

 Cool. Thanks big. And this is just me being picky but by any chance would it still be applicable if the story was written and released after the main one? Should note that I don't know if Homer released/wrote his tales within tales out of chronological order.

Lunagenic

Homer's Odyssey was one continous tale, actually. Told out of order, because the narrator was a character in the actual plot. Most of the story takes place with him narrating what happened to him until he got to a certain point, and then after he finished, the story continued on from that point, once again in 3rd person.

It wasn't released out of order, it was told out of order for a specific dramatic effect. :D

Well, what I want to know now is what do the last few seconds of the last scene mean??
(The two gun shots and the clock)

Anyone have any ideas on this one??

You'll get your answer when Ronin come back. He already mentioned it in another thread.

If you listen carefully, the two gunshots are from Mireille's and Kirika's gun, which strongly opposes the theory that they were shot. I think it signifies more of a "concluding" scene, like one final shot before the end. (altho, as we know now, it's not really the end).

The pocket watch, I don't want to even get into, as I'm not really in the mood to write a whole paragraph on what it means and represents. Hopefully someone else will do it instead ;)

I have another question.

Some time has passed since this thread got started, and I've been wondering if there are any new rumors floating around conserning this sequel. I personally haven't ran across anything, so I don't have anything jucy to add, but I hope somebody does :D.
