There are rumors... but I haven't seen any evidence that there are plans... it's safe to say No.
I hope I'm wrong. This might be their way on forcing you to buy the manga instead... which is good in its own right... but... whine*

As completely and utterly stoked I would be to see a second season of this fantabulous anime, I don't see it happening anytime soon. Though there are rumors, I've seen no proof of anything concrete and as such am left thinking 'sonuva...' because dammit I loved this frickin thing.
Then again, its been said that Berserk is going to be the heavy pushed title this year, perhaps that wiill be enough to spur on the creative process (though i doubt it).
A man can dream can't he ?

This series was made in the 80's i very much doubt that there will be a new series. I would be pretty damn happy if they did though
I believe they should make a movie filler for the gap between ep 25 and ep 1 even if it didn't go with the manga. I have read the post eclipse manga and its not bad but it doesn't go anywhere in explaining the start.... if that makes sense
I think the anime was made in 1997, the manga was started sometime in the 80s I believe, I am really bad with dates so I don't remember exactly when the manga started.

well i know the manga has been around a while and the anime isn't that new... if its 97 then there is still a chance of a continuation of it.....
If Mediablasters release of Berserk is a success and Berserk becomes a big seller it imporove the chances of a second season of Berserk alot.
Series like kenshin and tenchi muyo are getting added ovas because of their success in america.

I would LOVE a second season, or at the very least, a movie, or short OVA.
The ending definitely left me wanting more.
