I was thinking about Kare Kano while washing the dishes ... Her frist name is Yukino ?? ... I think that Miyazawa is her last name isnt it ?? So even her boyfriend call her by her last name ...
I know it's common to classmates to call each other by thier last name (i.e. Miyazawa sempai for a younger student ) ... but when Aima's come to Miyazawa's house he still call her Miyazawa but if it's her last name everyone in there except the mom is called Miyawaza .. and when they will be married (if it happen in an unknown future) will he continue to cal her so ??
And if I had a bf I would hate he calls me by my last name .. it's a way too unpersonnal ...
( so many crappy and useless questions I know ¬¬;; )

He calls her by her last name b/c its part of his characteristic... hes always formal and polite. If they ever did get married, at that point he would prolly call her by her first name. Ya know, he may call her Yukino sooner or later (hopefully before they get married.) By all accounts, hes the most familiar with her and he prolly should be calling her Yukino... but eh, Arima is like that.

Arima addresses Yukino by her last name because he repected her in every way. Even though they are both the top students of their grade.
Despite that she is a competitive person, he never met anyone with determination and strong will like no other female student he has known over the years of his teenage life.

Hmmm, doesn't Asapin/Asaba also refer to Yukino the same way Arima does? By calling her 'Miyazawa'? . . . and he probably respects her the least of everyone . . .well, of course he respects her, but more as a friend, and not as a super student . . . ^^
Oooh, and since we're speaking of names . . . is there some specific reason why Arima's parents call him Souchiro . . .? Is it another respect thing?? . . . or maybe Arima's first name is Souchiro, and I haven't picked up on that fact until now . . . :sweatdrop

*agree's with everything said*
You'd think and wish he's stop with the last name after a certain episode though >.<;

Yep, his first name is Souchiro. ...and it took me until I was most of the way through the series to realize that.

Yeah,
But if they stop using formal/polite names suddenly, everyone else will know that they were up to something...

Well everyone was talking about them when they were rebelling against the teachers remember? so people talking suddenly about them would be nothing new.
