View Full Version : Rayearth
I was just surfing some on the net yesterday when I came across this anime called Rayearth, has anybody heard of it or seen it?
I was just curious to know about it since I havenīt heard of it before myself.
So is it something worth watching?

I watch Magic Knight Rayearth but there's also just a Rayearth. Is there a difference?

magical Knight Rayearth is the T.V. series.
and Rayearth is the OVA series.
Rayearth is basically the t.v. series only it's more serious and it has a extremely large budget.
i like rayearth(the t.v. and ova)series alot.it reminds me alot of an RPG.
actually, they have made a Rayearth RPG for the Sega Saturn. i have heard that it was the last Saturn game to be made.

So does Rayearth come AFTER or BEFORE Magic Knight Rayearth? Or does it matter?
I watched the first episode of Magic Knight Rayearth and quite enjoyed it. I don't usually like anime about school girls who travel to another land to save the universe, but this was pretty funny. They constantly switched the main characters from normal drawing to those small drawings. To those people who have always found anime like this cliched and unoriginal, I actually recommend this. It was entertaining.

It's CLAMP.
All clamp animes I've ever seen are definitely worth watching.
The manga is really good too.
Okay, thanks Asuza_chan :)
And I thank you all for your opinions and advice on this film, Iīll keep a lookout for it in the stores :D

i don't think it stands for anything really. It's just the name that the group of people who do these particular mangas came up with. I'll check on it though, There's a bigh interview with them all in my Rayearth Manga. :)

I was looking around a while back to find out what CLAMP stood for as well but I couldn't find anything. So I agree with Asuza-Chan that it probably doesn't stand for anything. Although if I was going to make a guess I'd think the AMP part stood for Anime and Manga Production or something.

of course, there's also the possibility that it stands for something in Japanese, or Romanji in any case. Or that they picked it cuz it sounded good at the time. :)

Anyways, Anipike.com has lots of links to CLAMP fansites as well as the official CLAMP site. I checked most of the ones that were in english and I couldn't find anything.
Thatīs kind of weird...youīd think they would want to explain their name somewhere...
