Two theories: ?????

1) Male Cheroptids take longer to transform than female cherotids after death. We see with the subway scene the d00d obviosly has not transformed when <blackagent> looks at her. Also, the man guarding the military hangar where all of the jeeps are was killed by Saya. If she can't kill humans he must have been a cheroptid right? Not likely... he didn't put up a fight, and David previously mentioned that there were 3 cheroptids in the area... 1) The Transvestite 2) Sharon 3)Linda... big time flaw??

2) The statement "I can't kill humans" is false... Saya may have said this because there was another reason she did not kill the nurse. This would make the fact that Saya can only kill demons/vampires false. The theme is obviously tieing into the Vietnam War... there were extremely strong protests around the world against the Americans bombing/napalming innocent Vietnamese... Saya may be symbolic of the US Government saying "We are not bombing innocent Viatnamese..." when in fact they did.

probably just becuase he was in the way and she didn't feel like dealing with him so she killed him.

I don't believe she did kill him; just knocked him out to get him out of the way. Although I think it's less that she's physically incapable of killing humans and more of a 'lifestyle choice.' There would probably be repercussions-though not severe ones, acceptable losses and all that-from the organization she works for. The ties to the Vietnam war are certainly present, but I'm not sure that statment is part of it. After all, we don't know if she ever has killed a human.

i dunno... she hit him hard n the stomach and almost punched THROUGH him... looked like she killed him to me. And also, I don't think she has to suffer any repercussions from an organization, only through herself. I feel that if she really wanted to, Saya could walk away from any organization she was working for.

I think she killed him. She punched him in the stomach and chest and the guy fell down still. Its not like he would have been knocked unconscious by that - unless she had some special skill ;)

I reckon she killed the jeep guard because it was a simple choice: the nurse or the guard. If she didn't kill/knockout the guard, the nurse would have told him everything, and don't forget that that guy had a radio and could report stuff to base.

IMHO The movie was too short to make any clear links between the outside events and Saya's own situation. Is there a reason why it was so short?

Well, the guard would've died anyway since he would've gotten jammed into the door's handles by the chiropterran (sp?).

This may be a bit late, but in the DVD extras, there is talk of a mysterious assistant in some French War (Foggy on details; wasnt paying a lot of attention), and it gives the impression that this mystery warrior is Saya and is Killing People. They probably wouldnt have bothered mentioning it if i wasnt her. So she did Kill people, and I think that the 'Cant kill humans' things is more something to do with the agency
