Have anyone ever read Nausicaa, the manga of Mr Miyazaki.
It is said if you want understand more of Mononoke, you should read that.Do you know the film have been cut from 5 hours to 2 hours, so many peaple have some questions about the plots.
And in fact, the character of Mononoke wasn't fully developed. So i recommand u all to read the manga, that 's als the pivol work of Miyazaki.Have you ever heard that once Miyazaki said :"if it is possible , I would have made a film that would make you all to be shamful to be living in this whorld."Maybe not exactly, but the meaning is that .I think u can find something common in manga Nausicaa with Mononoke.
BTW.the manga is a little diffrient from the Anime

Umm..., the Nausicaa anime was based on the Nausicaa manga..., Princess Mononoke does have very strong parallels with the Nausicaa manga..., but whereas Nausicaa is set in far into the future..., Mononoke Hime is set in the distant past....,

My god,you are very humours. Sorry i didn't express well.I mean Nausicaa manga is a little diffrient from the Nausicaa Anime.Miyazaki has also produced the film Nausicaa (the valley of the wind) in 1985(not sure),and by then the manga hadn't been finished yet.The manga was finished in 1994.It took him more than 10 years to draw the manga, and he has put all his thoughts and idears in it.

I know..., I seen both movies, & I've read the Nausicaa manga in it's entireity...,
The Nausicaa anime came out in 1984..., by that time.., only the first 3 volumes of the manga had been finished (I think).., which is why, compared to the manga, the anime seems rather short...,

Whereas I can see where you are coming from by saying that Nausicaa & Princess Mononoke are similar...., I see the Nausicaa manga & the Mononoke anime as separate & distinct from each other..., the Mononoke anime deals with the beginning of industrialisation, & the passing of the nature gods..., the Nausicaa anime concerns itself with the death of civilisation..., & the reclaimation of the earth by nature..., so the Mononoke movie & the Nausicaa manga go full circle...,

I wanted to look at the manga for Nauss....well, whatever the name is, after I saw an add for it in the back of a few of my NGE manga. Especially when it said it was created by the maker of Princess Mononoke. hehe. Can anyone tell me if it's good?:)

I personally think that the Nausicaa manga is one of the best manga available to buy...., the art is 'simple' compared to the likes of Shirow, & many other manga artists..., but Miyazaki's eco-fable is breath-taking in it's story telling..., I highly reccomend it..., :D
