If any is interested in getting all 70 eps. of CCS and can't wait for the dvds to get out. . . Well there's 4 esp. to a DVD and with 70 eps. then that's a collection.
But trying to stay to the point, Ebay sellers are selling the 8 DVD box series. It's sooo worth it!!!
Just thought CCS fans would like to see all of them and in order instead of out of order and bad dubbing.

I've seen the dvds your talking about the only thing is that there made by this company in Hong Kong, and people say that there bootleg copys with bad subbing.
How good is the quality, and how goods is the subbing?

Hmmmm HK rips I"m assuming? Cuz we know for sure those are official commercial releases. :rolleyes: Eh... I got mine for free and both movies. ~yay~

You're going to get poor quality for sure if you don't buy commercial. But if you just want to see the whole CCS series and don't care about bad subbing go ahead buy them. How much are you paying for these DVD's anyway? :dodgy:
for me...i don't care about the quality except video quality (unless it's rendered unveiwable)

Same. I have the HK copies myself and i don't mind them at all. Also seeing I paid less then $200AUS I'm not about to complain about the quality of the subbing, and apart from the Sweet Card episode they're all fairly good watching quality.

Well if its boot-legged then it's not the problem, the problem is the quality. Mine are great quality, and true the subtitles are kind of imperfect but you get what they are saying.
Fact: American aired CCS skips eps. and their dubbing is not perfect either. For example: Madison really loves Sakura (really loves her) and there are alot of other things that American Networks don't air because Japanese anime is so comfortable with things that we're not.
I just got the series and watched it all last weekend and it was great. And I'm getting the movies this week from ebay too.
I can't wait to see the movies!!

Well most CCS fans know that. Thats why you buy the subbed version that Pioneer is realeasing. The only problem (that i think is a pain) is that Pioneer they only one DVD every other month and it's going to be a long time before they realease the whole series.
Just how bad is the quality of the "sweet card" eps? Is it watchable? Did anyone that owns it set see how the subbs comare to some ones that have been subbed by Pioneer?

Really never thought about that: comparing Pioneer to HK's.

What's funny is my "Sweet Eps." has MPEG artifacting when Li & Sakura are chasing the Card. But that's pretty much it.
I paid 80.00US and they sell Pioneer 22-35US for 4 esp. and you have to wait every other month.
Just a thought:)

True, paying $80 is a lot better then paying $30 for each Pioneer dvd that comes out every other month.
So there are like 8 dvds?? Which means there how many eps on each dvd?

If "MPEG artifacting" means that you get lines from the last screen captor still across the screen when the cut to the next, that's what mine does too. At the same spot. It only last for about three mins, so yes it is still watchable.
At least now I know it's not just my copy :D
but some mpeg files has a really bad video quality...

Well each dvd has so many eps. and the 8 dvds have 70 eps together.
I'm glad that I'm not alone on the "Sweet Eps" either:)
Anyways I just bought the movies last night and can't wait to see it.

Don't try and watch them in one. it's not healthy. Trust me I tried it.
20 hours in one shot!!! Followed by three hours sleep and and 8 hours of CCS, a blurry period I can't remember at all, then I wachched it till the end. I slept for nearly a whole day after wards. No coffee left in the house either. :D

Yes, it's best not question the beauty of CLAMP Characters. As someone who is 5 foot something I will always look up to them.

Ah one other thing I didn't mention earlier and I probably should have. There aren't any "Ask Kero" at the end of the HK DVD's! or at least there aren't on mine....

It used to be more extreme. Look at Tokyo Babylon's men for comparison. Seishirou's shoulders have got to be at least five feet wide.
Apapa-sensei has really toned down her style over the years ^_^ Her art is so much more subtle and delicate now.

That the one! I know it was Kero something. I don't have them so I couldn't remember right the name :heh:
