Yoshioka or Yoshinen?

Anybody in the know, please clue me in to this:

Why do both NieA and Mayuko call Yoshioka "Yoshinen"? Is it some kind of familiarity tag or nickname? NieA always calls Yoshioka that, while Mayuko alternates between "Mr. Yoshioka" and "Yoshinen".

Anybody have any clue about it?

Yoshioka is his actual family name. Yoshinen is a combination of his family name and his given name: Yoshioka Nenji = Yoshinen.
