I have just got this recently and have only watched it once through and I must say it is very good. I will be watching it again to try and this time get a better understanding of what is happening. The one thing I know is that it concentrates on a handful of people through the series and the events that happen around them. These events all seem to have been as a result of an incident that happened five years previously. Also that from what I gather, the past, present and future seem to exist in the same space and time and through certain incidents you could experience any one of these situations.
Well anyway my question is how many times did you watch it before you could say to yourself "I know what is going on?"

welcome to Boogiepop.
as for your question, i've only watched it a total of one and a half times, and though i'm certain there's much i've yet to even contemplate.. i feel i've definitely a great idea of what's going on.

Well...I've just finished it for the first time.
I really doubt I'll understand it any better the second time. Maybe after that.
There is a LOT in this series to digest.
This is sorta an advance warning from me. I'll probably be posting in here in the upcoming days.
Urgh. I've got to get some sort of grip on the plot before I show it to my friends over here.
Well, the one big distraction the first time through was not memorizing everyones names. It wasnt until the second time that i noticed Nagi and Minaka were different people (in episode 4 i thought Saotome was with Nagi in the resturant)
One thing that helped me understand more was Morita/Snake Eyes little explanation of Towa to his partner. When i saw that i was kind of like 'oh yea...' and then connected other aspects i had already seen to it.
They throw in a lot of little details, Echoes being one of them i guess, that in the big picture are pretty damn important. If you really pay attention closely to every scene, you can pick up on a lot the first time through i think.
Ive seen it about five times, and every viewing ive noticed little connections or something new that i didnt realize before.

I might have to watch the series all over again soon. It is a great series.
I have a feeling you'll watch it once more, just to discover something new you don't understand..
