Unfortunately, I missed out on the first episode of Yu Yu Hakusho last Saturday on CN. I plan on checking out this show next week, but not knowing what happened in the first episode would make things difficult. Anyways, could anybody give me a synopsis of the first episode? Also, does this show review the previous episode for about 20 seconds at the beginning of a new episode like DBZ does? Thanks :)

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I turned it on towards the end and didn't understand it. So I could use any help I could get.

From description from a vendor:
Yusuke Urameshi is not exactly what you'd call an angel. In fact, some might call him down right devilish. But when he dies in an accident trying to save a child, he finds himself in limbo between heaven and hell. Now Yusuke decides whether to work as a half-dead, half-alive agent for Koenma, a powerful spirit. Who said the afterlife was boring?

well, the first scene of the first episode shows yusuke dead, he got hit by a car from saving a young kid. then yusuke recalls what happened earlier the day, he was in school, got yelled at by his teachers and got in a fight with Kuwabara. then he gets hot by the car and dies. (commercial) so then yusuke figures that he's dead and he's now a spirit. a girl named botan, calling herself "the grim reaper", showed up ini front of yusuke, offering him a chance to come back to life if becuase his death was unexpected, she says that the kid he was trying to save would have avoided the accident and would have left without a scratch. then, she offers him a chance to live again, but he refuses. later on, he goes off to see his funeral on his house and he sees that there are many people who care about him. then he decides to take up Botan's offer (end of episode)
