Manga Art vs. Anime Art

Which do you prefer...the manga artwork or the anime artwork? For me, I personally adore the manga artwork...especially the full color illustrations which are drawn by CLAMP and which are extremely detailed and gorgeous to look at. :o The anime chara designs are somewhat different from the manga ones, but are equally as kawaii. I like both, but personally I think the manga illustrations hold a slight edge over the anime illlustrations due to the detailed artwork and the beautiful, fantastical landscapes and settings that CLAMP conjures up are simply magical and bewitching to one's imagination. :kawaii:

Recommended artbooks for manga illustrations : Cardcaptor Sakura Illustrations Collections 2 and the Memorial Book. If you prefer the anime artwork instead, all the Cheerio Books (1-3) are recommended.

i can't say...both are really kawaii :kawaii:

but i think the manga is much beautiful and much detailed :kawaii:
that's what i expect from Apapa Mokona and Nekoi Mick-sensei :kawaii:

Eh, I tend to prefer CLAMP's more ornate manga work in things like Clover and X...so I prefer CCS's anime art. It's very polished, very bright. Some of the best character designs I've seen in any anime ^^

I usually prefer the anime version of the CLAMP series.
The manga is a bit flowery for me. People are too thin.

I guess I'm like suzaku, I find it hard to judge. I usually tend to favour manga series over anime and CLAMP series like Clover and X are more artistic in their manga style, CCS still has a cute style of it's own that I love. The anime is done very well too….

Ah too hard! I think I'll look at them as two separate ways to enjoy CCS. :D

Macky: (14 year old brother) Cool. Why don't you buy them then?

Assyria: Hmmm… No I'll get the manga today and I'll come in next week and get the art books.

Macky: Are you sure? They might be sold out by next week.

Assyria: (paying for manga) Nah! don't be stupid! What would be the odds of that!

One week later…

(Assyria walks into shop to see Cheerio books gone)

Assyria: NNNOOOOOooooooo!!!!!!!!!! (falling to floor in tears)Why God, why?!?!

Assyria: Shut up.

Ahhhhh... I like both, but I'd probably lean more to the manga (colored manga) just because I adore pastels, and I like Tomoyo's hair better in the manga (too gray in anime). Both is very good though ^.^

Hmm...I dunno...I luv them both so much. They're both kawaii, but I tend to lean towards manga a little bit more, probably because i find the more detailed drawings cooler. I've always leaned to manga for my art preferences though...I don't know why, I just do, lol.

hmm...i really like the manga art! the drawing style is more grafeful and the colours are lighter and more realistic! the anime art is good too, more solid and bolder! but manga is the one i prefer
