Finished Gasaraki Yet?

Hi there,

I just finished watching all of Gasaraki. I have many opinions, and would lik to discuss some of the issues and intricacies. Any of you guys finished the series yet? I don't want to begin with spoilers, so I'll let someone else show interest first.

This forum is dead and I never come in here. Why didn't you tell me you had finally seen it over AIM. I know you hate mecha-type anime, so what'd you think of it? Do you enjoy it as much as I said you would?

You were right--the anime started off really slowly, and I was wondering what the hell you were thinking. It took me until the 3rd DVD to become "hoooked."

And like you said, this isn't your typical mecha-type anime. Like NG:E, it made me appreciate the genre a little more since it explained, at least for the situation they were in, how the mecha were superior to other battle machines.

But, I still hold to the fact that specialized machines are better than one-in-all mechas as for as "real-life" goes. The mecha have too many limitations--the only way for them to become useful is with the synchronization of the mecha's every "muscle" and tick and twinge with the human pilot. At today's technology, of course, this is impossible.

Thanks Fuy for letting me in on Gasaraki--I truely enjoyed it. Now we can talk about some of the "deeper" issues of the series if you'd like.

That'd be sweet, I just need to rewatch it so I can refresh my mind on everything I wanted to talk about. I'll probably be done rewatching it in 2 or 3 days.
