Throwing up

I've just watched Boogiepop for the second time and noted that several of the characters have a tendency to throw up. Here's a little list:

Misuzu Arifuji

Also known as Panuru(THE Panuru... the one that Rie learned world love from.). She seems to be one of the 'special' kids that were hunted down by the composite humans who were admitted into the hospital. There's random scenes of her throwing up, one notable sequence is when she throws up infront of a doctor when she was discussing her issues with her mother.

Mamoru Oikawa
The beloved brother of Sayoko, he is bitter and short with everyone, especially his faimly, probably triggered by his father missing his school play, and later the mental collapse of his fater when is project, Paisley Park failed. It seems he has the ability to deconstruct objects, from coffee to buildings to people, he keeps trying to take apart everything to put it back together correctly. He throws up in a few occasions, the first one when the siblings were introduced, Mamoru just kicked a few kid's ass. another time at the playground where snake eyes attacked them.


I have trouble remembering names and figuring out who's who when watching... sigh* so well, if you remember anyone who threw up, please feel free to post it here. ^^ and perhaps your opinion on why people throw up.

the girl you're referring to vomiting infront of the doctor was not Panuru but rather someone else. also, Rie is different than the girl [Panuru 2] who learned peace from Panuru. she was explained as vomiting because of her stomach pains, which eventually were related to her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. i believe that trauma had to do with being sexually harassed as well as losing her father as well as misunderstanding what her mother was doing.

Mamoru, on the other hand, was noted as vomiting in price to pay after getting rid of "useless things" thru form of murder... he got his wish, yet he was made nauxious in trade.



Edit :: sorry, my ------- bad... hah. nah, i just found that there are TWO Ries.. i didn't recall that Panuru2's real name was also Rie. i always had just presumed that Yoji's obsession was the only Rie, and that when he is calling out for Panuru 2 and saying "Rie" he was just mistaking her for his Rie. hell, i could still be correct. hah.
