Yuyu Hakusho Dragonball Z connection

:confused: Me and my two brothers were watching Yuyu Hakusho and we noticed that the voices of the characters sounded like the voice actors for DBZ are the voice actors the same or was it just our imagination running wild from to much exposier to DBZ. :confused:

yeah I too noticed that they sounded alot the same.. I dont know anythign about voice actors but I wouldnt be suprixed if they were the same voice actresses....

yup, they have the same VA's. Keiko (from YYH mind you) was voiced by laura bailey (a very hot girl i might add) who also did the voice of young trunks and Marlene(from blue gender). androind #18 and Yusuke's mom has the same VA and Kuwabara's VA was chris sabat i think who did numerous roles on dbz.

while we're on the subject, YYH becomes strikingly dbz later on

The only difference is that in YH they find original reasons to fight and each of the character are independant while in DBZ all the characters are meat shield until Goku shows up and kills everyone.

Alot of fighting thats for sure, but there's not so much idle banter or staring like in Dbz which is awesome

Another thing is that wen it wuz JUST beginning it started out in the same manga-zine as DBZ... my lil told me dat...:rolleyes:

dragonball z does have a lot of staring instead of action and half of the time the characters look gay..... but its a decent series

If you mean Hiei having the hair of Vegeta (among others), I'd have to say I agree. What is up with the shortest person on the team having hair that stands about a foot or two taller than their head? Do they have some kind of inferiority complex? :D

To realte to the topic, Frezia and Gen Ki are the same voices, and yeah some of thier art is similar, but YuYu just has a way more solid story line. Not the farse about I'm the strongest, Oh wait you are, lets fight! That stuff started getting old after Frezia. Cell was okay, but Buu? Thats crap! Yet YuYu is just consant good stoytelling. They have real comedy thats actually funny :lol: , rather than just cutesy junk over on dbz. What a tratior i've become! I was started on DBZ and look at what i said. Shame on me!:sulkoff:

Along with Freeza, Genaki va she also does Baba in Dragon Ball.

Yusuke's luck..eh I kinda agree that whole gloppy ---- in his ear at the end of the Rando fight was just stupid, but then again Dragon Ball was somewhat like that.

I love YYH so far, like G Gundam it surpassed Dragon Ball Z in what's really important other then fighting, sure DBZ had some drama, and this is coming from a guy who loved DBZ so much he watched it everyday and was always looking up ---- for it on the internet.

But as time went on better anime series/movies came along in my life such as Vampire Hunter D, Yu Yu Hakusho, Lupin The 3rd, and Inuyasha.

So as far as the connection, i'd say Yu Yu Hakusho does have more interesting fights. Hell in DBZ it's usually not an interesting fight until Big Bad Ass Goku comes along.

I know that YYH doesn't preceed DB. But doesn't it preceed DBZ. That means that Vegeta's hair is the copy.

i hate that DBZ's fights can go on forever and YYH fights are mostly short but sweet.
