Fuu is simply a Japanese name. That simple. Foo is in no way associated with it. I doubt the Japanese even know how that sounds similar to American slang.

Yes, Fuu tends to be intelligent at times and tends to be the voice of reason. However, there are other times she tends to be a little bit of a ditz. So, I don't think she's a nerd or anything like that.

Fuu is not a nerd she is just looks over a situtation before jumping into it. hich seems like a good idea to me. Also just because you wear glasses doesn't mean that you are a "nerd" I where glasses.

She kind of reminds me of Ami Mizuno from Sailor Moon (a.k.a Sailor Mercury). Fuu's attacks depend on wind which is basically like water, at times can be calm and serene, but when determined can be strong willed. Fuu out of the girls names might sound to some people like FOO, a refrence to Ghetto Slang (a.k.a people who cannot articulate) for fool. Fuu just sounds gentle. Most Smart people in anime are usually gentle, like Umino, Ami, Fuu, and etc. But at times they can change.

But back to the topic at hand.....

I don't find Fuu neither boring or nerdy.
I just regard her as my fav character in MKR.

When you hit the ground you will go unconscious and when you wake up you'll have one of these (mimes an angel halo) floating around your head! - all said with a huge grin.

Or at least thats how I THINK that hilarious line goes.....
