Here's a puzzler that was bugging me this morning.
How come the Namek wish granting Dragon can speak 'Earthling-ish', but can only understand Namek, which only Dende speaks?

yeah i wondered about that too.. i thought it was like in Farscape where one can understand the other in different languages but it was English for us viewers ?

Well, how about Asuka thinking in Japanese? Is that normal (I mean, thinking in a second language, a language you can't fully read yet.)

Oh, and maybe Porunga is just stingy. Or a way to keep the wishes from getting into the wrong hands (Most Nameks shouldn't be evil).

well gohan, dende and krillin managed only to get 2 wishes in before Guru kicked the bucket and took Porunga with him

1. that Piccolo brought back to life
2. that Piccolo brought to Namek

So the others can be wished back using those....


What I want to know is when Goku was wished back, he had to run back down snake way, but Piccolo just vanished back to our dimension? I suppose this can be because the Namek Dragon Balls are bigger and better? :D

Acording to Eva2000 there second wish was to bring piccalo back to namek, so that happend stright away, and aslo probally cus the balls are bigger and better!

I think that Piccolo never ran back down Snake Way. I seem to remember him instantly appearing on Namek after the second wish.

Yeah, after the first wish, you see Picollo on King Kai's planet, and his halo fades, indicating he's alive again. But he was just stuck there, waiting for the second wish to be transported to Namek. Otherwise, he too would have to run back along Snake way.

By the way, I thought that Friday's episode was a bit of a bust. It took a whole 20 mins, just to make two wishes. Nothing else really important happened. Vegita woke up, and Freeza rocked up. That was about it.

Just to tell you guys, I found the battle with Frieza to be too long. It was 10 videos long. I bought 7 and just got tired of it and quit :D

Eh, I can guarantee you that the battle with Frieza isn't 40 eps, but it is pretty long. I thought it was rather exciting, though.

Yeah, I mean, the fight against Nappa went for a fair while, I think for like a week or so, and he wasn't even a major boss-type guy.

But, if the fight against Freeza is not quite, but close to 40 episodes, I'd hate to think how long the fight against Cell is gonna be.

I'd say it's closer to twenty eps.

No, it's more than that. maybe the fight between goku and frieza is like 20 eps, but there's still those where piccollo/gohan/krillin/vegeta fight him

Eh, I know that Goku and Freiza wasn't near twenty eps. I guess thirty would be a little more accurate, but you need to remember that it's only around a total of 100 eps from the moment Raditz arrives on Earth to the end of the Frieza saga.

Yeah, probably 30. It's a cool fight, I actually liked the fight more before Goku got into it. I liked it when the others had to hold back frieza. There was actually a whole episode that wasn't shown on TV, but was on the uncut video because it was too violent.

it's like a whole episode with Krillin on Frieza's horn. On the edited version he just stabbed him and threw him in the ocean, but there was a whole episode with him up there. Frieza just toyed with him and stuff and made him bounce on his horn. It was really bloody. Then Gohan gets pissed and kicks the crap out of frieza

Yup, Gohan's cool except i always get pissed at him during the fight with nappa because he chickened out and it's his fault picollo and so many others died just because he was scared. When i see those episodes I just wanna smack him.

In my opinion, Gohan could put up a pretty good fight against his dad right now, but you'd hafta push him far enough over the edge. Unfortunately, not even Freiza can do this (if I'm right).

So Krillin is just dead on Freeza's head for a whole episode? Freeza's just kinda wearing him like a hat?

Damn, that's pretty nasty. I can't wait for Goku to kick his evil purply butt.

And even when goku gets there, him and frieza just toy with each other. They don't seriously fight, they're like cats toying with a mouse before they kill it. The only problem is they both think they're the cat

Wouldn't Goku know that normally, he has no real chance against Freeza? I mean, when he first fought Vegita, his thoughts were all about 'man, vegita is really powerful, gotta do my max, and use Kai-o-ken x4'. Maybe he's just trying full out against Freeza, but it just looks like he's playing Cat and Mouse?

But Goku has had several near-death experiances since then. I mean, the fight with Vegita, on the spaceship, the fight with Ginyu ... he's over quadrupled in strength. Easily.

And Gohan is nice, but he can't bear to see his friends tortured. All you have to do is pick on his friends, and he'll be using your head as a bowling ball.

Goku's like Gohan when it come to friendship and Family. Or otherwise he would have never have come to Namak.
Goku's not like Superman who fights for love Justice and the American way, he's just in if for the ones he care about.

And i'm kinda hanging for Goku to turn SSJ. I just want it out of the way so we can move on to the android saga (and future trunks) I wanna see Vegeta's "Badman" t-shirt. do they still have that in the anime?

Okay it's in the manga, not sure about the anime. I'm not quite sure whether you'd call it android or frieza saga, probably freiza. You see the Z team who have sensed frieza's power headed towards earth (sorry if that's a spoler) and you see Vegeta, having mellowed (if only just a little) sans Saiyajin Armour, wearing a casual t-shirt with "BADMAN" written on the back. Very Vegeta-like. (I want a shirt like that dammit)
