Sensui has his own beliefs that all humans must die,the fact that humans are very bad and must die.I have come to think that it might be true because there are humans who are worst than anyone else, killing their own family, raping their own daughter....ah you know what I mean. Another thing is that Sensui is a lonely kind of person, maybe he lived all alone in his world.Well I have also felt that kind of experience that you are all alone and people around you dont help you, ignore you and the worst thing is that they have done something nasty to you...I think I watched too much of YuYu Hakusho............:sweatdrop

What comes as a surprise (ok not really) is why Sensui is so intent on opening the kekai. He just want to see Makai with his own eyes, before he dies of a deadly virus. SO sad it is to see him dying in Itsuki's arms, having realized his dream. Again, he's not just another villain. He was tortured by mistakes he made in the past and he didn't know a way to free himself from guilt (like Tougoro Ototo I guess). At the end he wanted to repay the youkai he killed in the past by dying in their world in the arms of one of their race. Sorta... poetic? Ok, lets not go there. This part again raises the question of what is the difference between humans and youkai. After Enma's attempt to kill Yusuke, I also asked myself whether Yusuke would change now that he's a youkai. Yea what a fool I was. Yusuke will always be Yusuke. Whatever he does as a youkai he would have done so as a human. As for the part where it seems he has less concern for human life, I think that's just how he is. Besides, it's not as if he doesn't care, it's just that he doesn't have an overloaded sense of justice. Anyways.... All the people who worked with Sensui (with the exception of Gourmet, who was uhh.. eaten up by Tougoro Ani) went along and found a new life, in the same old ningenkai, or is it? This is the typical Togashi treatment, leaving so many questions for you to ponder over. ::sigh:: I love him....

I haven't watched the whole saga but i think sensui is pathetic. His way of thinking is rather too extreme. Koenma did mention how he was very serious most of the time and took everything in a black and white manner of thinking. That's just wrong, he should learn to accept that things like that do happen. For pete's sake, he was assigned to protect the humans from monsters and wasn't what humans were doing to monsters exactly what he was preventing the monsters to do to the humans?!!! hey... that sort of didn't make any sense...
like i said, haven't watched it all the way through so Sensui's reasons might be more than just that... i think its shallow to think about right now especially if he wasted 10 years of his life just plotting to KILL everyone including himself. nod* self righteous bastard... pfft.

Give Sensui some credits here.
Remember what he went through. At a young age he started feeling spirits and has had to learn to live with them, knowing they're all around him.
And then his final mission when he saw the monster torture chamber. And then to see the Dark Chapter tape after that must've been enough to break any man.
He is right that there is much evil in the human race. However it's not right to condemn everyone for the sins of a few.
