Is there some sorta petition for an english translation of the mangas and novels?

Record of Lodoss War - Chronicles of the Heroic Knight

I'm not sure if the novels have been translated or not yet...,

Novels are not likely to be translated due to their age, which kind of sucks. Ryo Mizuno doesn't like his old novels any more (at least not the first 3 or 4) because they were his first novels he ever wrote, so by now he considers them "primitive" (his own quote). However, he likes how the Animation turned out and he still likes the world he created for Lodoss.

Personally, I thought the animation was a plus, not to mention the vocals and opening and closers. however, I found the story sometimes a bit lackign ^_^;

Havn't read the manga though . . is there a slight difference between them?

Oh heck no. I just want an anime on my favorite character. Ecchi. :p

The manga has the full story ^^ The anime cut out a lot, and the whole 2nd half if you watched the OAV.
