Greetings...
I am trying to develop a plotline for a crossover fic which will feature characters from – among other things – Noir and Sailor Moon (yes, yes, I know it sounds weird).
The plot will involve a covert network under Setsuna/Pluto that is the successor to one from the Silver Millennium. Mireille and Kirika are the reincarnations of members of this network, and now Pluto needs them to combat a new threat. (BTW, this is set after the end of Noir)
The problem is... I need a motivation for Mireille and Kirika to join – and Mireille in particular I cannot see trusting Setsuna. Much like Batman, Mireille probably doesn’t perfectly trust anybody (including Kirika), and that would be multiplied a hundredfold for Setsuna (who is in some respects quite similar to Altena). Any ideas on how she could be motivated to do such a thing?
(BTW, I do have an idea for Kirika’s motivation – all I’ll say is that it involves Hotaru)
Thanks in advance.

 That does sound very weird.

Huh? For some bizarre reason I can picture Setsuna talking to Mireille and Kirika but the thought stops dead there. This is non-magical threat, right? If not then... whhh... I hope you really believe you can make this work.

Setsuna like Altena, hmm... The way Setsuna handles things in the series is of amusment to me, it takes someone very strong to handle things the way she does. I suppose her personality would make Noir very suspicious, but since it would be after the Noir series then I think Mireille might be willing to trust anyone Kirika does. Even early on in "Tea in the Moonlight" Mireille does drop her guard because Kirika trusts Chloe. If they're Silver Mill people then the more reason for them to trust each other. I can't think of reason why Mireille, as she is, would trust Setsuna.

Now that sounds interesting. Hotaru is so cute even Kamui would help her. If it's chibi-Hotaru I don't see how Mireille could resist either.

Well, as I said, "among other things". It's part of a series of fics set in the same universe. At the time of the fic, the inner senshi (along with several other magical girls) are involved in a war in another dimension.

I'm not entirely sure - but if I can't fit a story element in, I won't include it.

Quite a few fanfics depict Setsuna as an Altena-like plotter-manipulator who believes that the ends justify the means (which I personally don't agree with - I see her as a good person, albeit secretive and taking a longer-term view than normal people, which sometimes means allowing short-term injustices to take place. In canon, she never let anyone die [okay, she let Haruka and Michiru almost get killed])

Well, I don't see them accepting/believing it all that readily.

Hmmm... Kirika-chan and Hotaru-chan, the two cutest characters in anime... cuddling together in a shoujo-ai situation...
Mireille: :kaioken:
Uh-oh, I think Mireille's gonna do a Chloe :sweatdrop
