I'm so happy. I just finished SMJ. I thought the marionettes were dead and I cried like a baby, but when I found out they were alive I didn't feel cheated at all. I felt SO happy. This is one case where Im glad thtat the characters didn't die; it didn't ruin the drama for me.:D I've never seen an anime this touching.

Hmmmm.
You might want to put a "spoilers" in the subject and at the top of the message when revealing the end of the story...

Yes, SMJ's ending was very upbeat and left a good impression. Get ready for a wild ride with SMJ again and the final leg of the journey in SMJ to X. The Drama and story really start to pick up.

personally I think that the best one in the series is the original SMJ because of the whole learning process through which all the charachters go through. The change in animation style really gives the other two instalments somewhat of a boost but the storylines can't quite compare to that of the first
(spolier)
except that part where lime, cherry, and bloodberry get lost and forget Otaru because of some short circuit.
