Which is better, BGC 2040 or old school BGC

I just saw a couple episodes of 2040 yesterday. Is the first one better than the new one?

I like the new one better than the old one. Probably because I saw it first.

BGC2040 was good, but it dragged on in places. I can appreciate what it was trying to do, as something more than an adaptation of the first series, but I think it could've been done better.

So, I prefer BGC2032. Plentiful action, cheesy 80's music, MECHA, pink-haired Nene, non-offensive Priss. Just switch off your brain and watch. :D

The old-school BGC will always have a special place on the list of my all-time favorite anime titles (a place very close to the top). It may not be perfect, but it still has the potential to kick ass for viewers even after more than a decade has passed. :cool:

I saw 2040 first and I really liked it...then i decided to rent out 2032 and i loved it :D

Nothing beats the originals in any series or production, its probably the main problem with sequels and remakes. And sometimes just the task of over-trying to beat the original ruins the entire series. In the case of BGC2040 I don't think that happened. Its great with good animation etc, most of it was because they started pretty much from scratch with just a rough basis for the charas/plot made by 2032. I haven't seen much of the originals but I'd say they are just as good if not better, I dont really class them as rivals just more BGC to watch and enjoy. :lol:

i look at it this way....
both series were made in different decades with their correspondingly different ideas, ethics (remember "greed is good" ;), fashions, hair styles :eek: and more importantly financial situations
BGC2032 couldn't be completed :(
BGC2040 could :)

i view them as two seperate series both of which i like for different reasons ;)

that's one of the reasons i really liked the 2032 series.

the characters IMO have way better personalities and its a lot more fun to watch than 2040

I havent seen all of the originals yet, but so far i prefered tokyo 2040, i loved the animation and i liked sylia in tokyo 2040 alot more (shes my faveourite ^^) ---- but the originals have great music i love that song at the end of red eyes is so cool - is it called "rock me"???

man, 2032 might be old skool, but it's a better show to watch. 2040's music was trippin.
