I'm just currious. I know that import animes can be downloaded and such... However, I still would like to at least buy and own one of every anime series I am into to have for my collection.

I came back from ACEN2k2 (anime con) and Inuyasha seemed to be a big one there. I even seen some imports, but they wanted like 50+ for one DVD...now my question is, I found this site..do you think its legit?

http://www.avspecial.com/ind.html

I found a site with one import DVD for 38 bucks...this site has all 3 for $53... http://www.avspecial.com/intvserdvd.html
does this sound fishy? It says all region compatible..and as long as it plays in my DVD and has decently translated Subs, i'm not too picky.

But whats this? http://www.avspecial.com/insecserdvd.html

The description is the same...so i'm just wondering if you guys have seen both, and if they are just variations of the same series or what not?

OK! Now i'm really confused...3 Import DVDs for only.. $35 US?!

I figured out that the second series is just that, the continuation. I could use some advice here on wether I should buy from any of these sites, or if you guys have any suggestions :D

Hmm...sounds a bit fishy, since Viz is the company releasing Inuyasha. It sounds like it might be a bootleg company, legal or not (some are according to their country's rules), but this one is America-based, apparently. The region-free bit leads me to think it's probably bootlegged, as does the Chinese subtitles option. Most dvd companies use regioning on their dvds. You might want to e-mail them and ask them what their affiliation is with Viz, and see if they have the liscensing to legally sell these dvds.

I saw one inu-yasha DVD.... but it was $90. A bit too much for one DVD, ne?

those 3 DVD inuyasha sets are the ones made in HK. vol 1-3 goes up to episode 52 I believe. I have these sets, but they are HK "bootlegs" if you will. But I felt ok in buying them because this series has not yet been released. The quality of the DVDs are pretty good. Not the greatest video, but good subs. You should only be paying about $35 for these sets. animeniacs.org is a trustworthy site to get the DVDs for the series that aren't available yet in official release.
