I have an attachment to the name -- it was my French name for three years in high school. I have an attachment to the person -- Mireille is one of my heros, and she's also blond and blue-eyed like me. :p

I notice a LOT of Kirika fans out there, and why not, she's cute. And seeped in mystery. But what about Mireille? Where's her lovin'? *sniff*

C'mon, she's essentially the one who brings Altena down. Not because she's as much an uber-weapon as Kirika or Chloe (though she does kickass) but because she's just too damn reasonable and thinks things through.

The entire show is filled with fanatics who just can't let go of whatever issue. Mireille, when encountering something that would drive someone nigh insane with passion, she _stops_, thinks about it. Then decides what to do. Then does it.

And this doesn't mean she's not in touch with her emotions, either.

She's one of the strongest women I've ever seen in anime or other depictions.

From what I have gathered our resident disenfranchised Samurai is studying film and literature at university. This may contribute to the range and volume of media he has experienced. Mind you, I doubt anyone would undertake to make their way through university unless the subject appealed to them in the first place.

Hmm, I wish to be studying likewise, but the fact remains - I have to actually get into university first. :)
