Needless to say, I was somewhat confuzzled.

I first saw it on SBS from the first episode. so i understood it straight off. kinda :D

mind you, never have a friend around and have them see the lsecond last episode. he asked what was going on and i lost concerntration and ended up not getting anything out of it.

i got my first dose when i was 10 the first ep i saw was the one with the big spider angel with all the eyes! it was Remial or somethin anyway after that i was hocked!

Actually EoE was the first episode I watched, I read about the series a lot before I saw any.

hmm, it was so long ago i forget, it was actually my dad to recommended it to me, i never used to watch sbs, but oddly enough i remember hearing an ad on sbs for it...the only bits i remember went something like..."and strangely enough the only people who can pilot them are a handful of teenagers" something like that anyways...and to be completely honest i still havent seen the entire series :bawling:

Yeah...that'd be my real first dose of Eva as well. Though before I saw the commercial I'd always seen the series on video shelves in Best Buy for several years. The series always caught my eye despite never actually knowing anything about it. :lol:

:agree: That was awesome. My first episode was *surprise* the first episode. I watched it on SBS from start to finish, both times!

I technically saw the first episode first. I did however download like 4minutes of Pure Heart For You off my 56k modem from ScourMx wayyyyy back when. Had no idea what was going on with Gendo and Rei, I thought Eva was hentai at that point ;p .

AMVs got me started on the path to Evangelion.

i saw the tapes to eva at suncoast and rei and asuka caught my eye when i was about about 11 i think. i finally got the first dvd 3 years later. I 've been a devoted fan ever since!

my first was the one when asuka comes. and thats the earliest episode Ive got (the early episodes seem to be a bit rare here...) but I think they have the dvds of the first ones, so now I just gotta save up.

I don't know exactly when I first saw Neon Genesis Evangelion or what episode I firs saw. Alls I know is that my friend showed it to me years ago when it first came out on VHS in the U.S. So thanks man! Booyaka.

first episode i ever saw was the one when asuka kissed shinji.

that was years ago when it was on SBS here in aus..
since then i hav seen no episodes before episode6 and i hav missed allot of others.. all the episodes i hav seen hav been in totally random order.
i hav mad a mission for myself to get $ to buy ALL the NGE dvd's so that i can finally be enlightened..

until then i'll just dwell in my impatient insanity..

I saw the ads for it on SBS before it screened. When I saw the first ep I was hooked. I watched both runs on SBS start to finish.

BTW Goku Midnight Eye Part 1 screens on SBS at 0055 on Sunday morning which is about an hour from now.

My first interaction with Eva was... My brother was watching it... I was REALLY new to anime (Only had two or three things under my belt)... And I kept yelling at him... "You're watching those damned cartoons with the pointy noses again... AREN'T YOU?" ...Yes... It was... Some episode after eight... Because I remember seeing Asuka... But I don't even remember what happened in the episode back when I was looking at it... ...That was a year ago...

But my first actual episode was episode one. Durh. That's the best way to start any anime. (There are so many good animes I've only seen the first episode, first DVD, or first two DVDs of... Like Lain, Nadesico, Vampire Princess Miyu (I've seen the whole OVA, just not the whole series), Sailor Moon Super... etc)

My first episode was Japanese episode 1 with subs. Then I found out that ADV was making the English dubs, so I got them. They were great, until I found out that the box set came out at 2/3 the price I was paying :(
