Yes, I'm trying to be facetious regarding the title of the thread...
Anyhow, Duvet was a great song, bla bla bla, gush gush, but what the hell did it mean? As tends to happen with songs, I automatically paralleled the lyrics to my own life, but I'm rather interested in how others may have interpreted them...

Honestly, I like the song for it's musical qualities, not it's lyrical qualities. She sings beautifully, but the words (beyond the chorus of I am falling, I am fading, I am drowing, Help me to breathe) have never had that much of an impact on me.

meh. I liked the music, but never paid much attention to the lyrics before. I'll give it another try i suppose. Perhaps I'll even buy the CD. I've been told I should.

As mentioned, it's the music that has the most impact on me. Since I first heard this song when I watched the anime over a year ago, I've listened to countless anime songs and none give me the "shivers" as this song does, especially since it reminds me of Lain everytime I hear it. Not just a passing thought, but I generate the same feeling I had while watching Lain.

I just realized... Lain has seriously wierded my mind. In a good way... maybe. I should watch this series again. It's been a whlie.

For me, the lyrics represent Lain - get into Lain's head, and how she feels. Yet, she is so cool on the outside. It's Lain. Duvet is Lain.
