I was beginning to get really curious about what Spike Spencer looked like (voice of Shinji dubbed)...

I find him rather interesting looking... I didn't imagine that the person behind the voice of Shinji would look like that... I thought he would look like a spineless little brat... (Akito Tenkawa (Nadesico) was also voiced by him, and I think the characters are all too much alike...)

...I only posted this, because after watching Evangelion, Nadesico, and Bubblegum Crisis 2040, I was curious as to what Spike Spencer looked like... And I thought, perhaps some other people were too... Jeebus- if a mod sees this as "TROLLING" please delete this so people don't become offended. :p

I find it interesting. I'm never all that curious as to what a VA looks like, but if a chance like this arises then of course I'm a little intriqued. Mostly I spend more time trying to listen for voices I've heard before in other series. :lol:

I have never really liked Spike Spencer (and not because he can't act), his comments that Shinji was "a wuss" shows that he has absolutely no real understanding of the Shinji character at all. How can you play a character convincingly when you don't even know where he is coming from?

(I swear, all actors have it easy... I act... And it's nothing! All those actors and such that say acting is hard work... BAH!)

Yes, that does seem kind of bad when you don't really understand the character your suppose to be portraying. I think he did an ok job on the series, but now that I see what he thought of the whole thing I think someone else could have done it a whole lot better...

Well, Shinji really is a wuss.

I liked Mr. Spencer's potrayal of Shinji a lot. He had that kind of feebleness and crackiness that you'd expect from a 14 year old boy. I highly prefer him to Shinji's Japanese VA, mainly because she made Shinji sound far too girlish, since well she was a woman after all.

Well penpen2, i would assume that GOOD actors... the ones who actually care about and research their roles... have a somewhat hard job (not hard enough to justify the 7-9 figure incomes though).

Then you have the Keanu Reeves (WOAH! Dudddeee were in the matrix man!!! like, tubular! i'm gonna spew now!) and trhis spike guy who just plain suck :)

Spike Spencer's interview was quite intriguing. He is very different to what I thought he would be. No wait, I never cared about what he looked like :)
