I would like to hear everyone opinions in this episode. I understand the school girl killing herself; but I don't get some things like: when Lain is in the classroom and she put her hand out and smoke comes from her fingers. It is WEIRD I know but is that the point or is there some other meaning that I am missing.

I read an analysis somewhere that stated that seeing smoke from one's fingers is a not too uncommon halucination by those having difficulty keeping their sanity.

I think this indicates that Lain is on the edge, kind of what happens with some brilliant scientists and artists.
